Does everything I expect a laptop to do, only faster!

This laptop is lightweight and has a great feel to it. The area around the keyboard has a non-metallic touch, and its super comfortable. The front-facing camera is only 720p, but I can live with that. It starts up fast and is compatible with just about anything. Id 100% buy this again.

I hardly ever wrote negative reviews, but Id give this zero stars, if I could. I bought the Surface Laptop 4 from Amazon in March 2022. It worked fine for a while (although battery life was terrible from the start). Then it started having all kinds of problems that have made it unusable. Even after a complete reinstall of Windows 10 and resetting both Pin and p-word, it wont recognize either to sign in. To make matters worse, when I reinstalled the OS from the local drive, it replaced Windows 10 Pro with Windows 10 Home. And Microsoft wanted to charge me to reinstall software I had previously paid for. Im kicking myself for switching to this thing after many years of buying reliable Lenovo ThinkPads. Im so displeased with Microsoft at this point that I will likely switch to Apple, something I never thought Id do.

Sad that upgrading memory is not a option.

I have owned this laptop for three months with very light usage. About two weeks ago the battery life became shorter and shorter. Now if its not plugged in all the time the battery goes from 100% to 0 just sitting there, not being used, in other words turned off. WTF! Before this started happening when it was plugged in charging it would become seriously hot just sitting on the table top. All that being said, this laptop that I spent over $1000.00 on will be going back to Best Buy. Very disappointed.

Most that buy this will want to upgrade immediately to Windows 11. I did.

Just getting it going, transferred data from old machine to thus one and did a cloud upload. So far im happy with the purchase.

You cannot have it all of course, but this laptop is great-looking, quite powerful, has a good if not great screen and better than average battery life. Could it be better? Without a doubt. But it is pretty great as it is.
