Mirka 9A-232-AP Abranet 5-Inch Mesh Grip Discs

Great sandpaper. I order this frequently for my shop. However, amazon fulfillment is a joke. I order 220 grit and 3 times have gotten 80 grit.

These things last SOOO much longer than my Mirka standard sandpaper. I am very happy with this purchase and will not go back to standard paper again. I am a convert.

If you are looking for a top notch sandpaper, look no further. I tried out one of their starter packs a few years ago and havent regretted it. They are a little more expensive than normal sandpaper, but they are worth the money because they are almost impossible to clog. Mirkas goldflex hand sandpaper is also amazing. So far, I have not found a sandpaper brand that will outdo Mirka and I doubt I ever will.

Bought six or seven different grets. All other brands have worked well but this brand is worthless, they will not stay on and keep falling off. Nice concept but not worth the money.

These are best for larger flat surfaces. On narrow stock, the edge of the disk comes loose, sometimes creating a folded section at the out edge. Sometimes the disk would fly off, but that might have been due to condition of unlying pad. Hard to tell about longevity. Think Ill stick with Diablo

Abranet is definitely longer lasting than traditional orbital sanding disks. Its the only abrasive disk i use now. For those of you interested or curious: I did purchase a big box of the Autonet to compare. My observations: stick with Abranet for wood sanding. Autonet does not last nearly as long on wood.

I didnt realize there is a difference between the regular Abranet which uses aluminum oxide and the Abranet Ace that uses ceramic oxide. The ceramic oxide really keeps cutting for a long time. Oh well, Mirka sanders are excellent and even the regular Abranet is still a good product. FYI, seems like these burn out hook and loop pads on some non-Mirka sanders. You may want to use them with a pad saver.

Havent used this grit yet but the others that I have work pretty good at removing old finish since they dont seem to gum up like normal paper.
