Bought this for a painting light that didn’t have a dimmer function and it was way too bright before using this plug. I used two dimmable LED light bulbs in the fixture, set it up with this plug, and now it turns on at sunset with Alexa at the dimmable setting so it is just the right brightness. Perfect for what I needed! No issues!!

The plug is very responsive to Alexa commands. App installation and plug configuration was easy. Dimmable lightings give the room a good vibe and perfect for movie night.

Cute product. Super difficult to set up. The instructions do not help. I used the Smart Life first. Could not find the device. The Tuya Smart App found the device instantly. Alexa integration was easy as well. I would purchase again.

I got this because I’ve been wanting to see how good they are and I’m so glad I did. The fact that I just need to send a voice command and it works it’s awesome. Would recommend to everyone.

Setting up the device took a bit of trial and error, but once it was set up and I had Alexa integration figured out, it worked mostly flawlessly. The fading between brightness is a very nice touch. Very often though, the plug seems to disconnect from the network or not respond to commands, despite having tried multiple 2.4GHz routers. Overall the plug works as intended and has been a great addition for my accent lighting in my bedroom. I have it hooked up to an incandescent lamp for my bedside lamp and have a command that when I say Alexa, Night Mode it will activate the lamp at 25% so that I dont have a tragic trip-and-fall-over-my-dog incident at night while also not blinding anybody. Very useful tool overall when it works.

I bought a google home so I’m trying to get into the smart house stuff. It was easy to install. This plug allows anything you plug into it to be controlled with the Tuya Smart App. I think I will need a couple more for my living room as well !!

These plugs are working great with the Kasa App on my iPhone. I had issues with my Aruba Access Point for WiFi not wanting to accept more than 12 devices per SSID. I temporarily got around this by adding a second SSID on the sanme VLAN/Network.

When you turn the light on, it seems to default to whatever brightness percent it was set to when you turned it off last. As such, we could not program “Turn light on to 15% at 5am” because it just turns it to 100% or wherever we had it last. That’s the only reason we wanted a smart dimmer. I also don’t understand why a dimmer exists that you can’t physically dim or adjust without an app. We plug it into our bedside table so it would be nice to have a physical option to adjust it.
