Not sure whether the video link below will work or not. http://youtu.be/a19R9uwVX4s Didnt have any trouble with the tool and I think they have fixed their pin problem. They even included an extra pin in my kit. High quality piece. Easy to use.

I bought this product and on the first use the handle portion of the product just broke. It was there that I saw this wasnt a steel handle.

My 2006 CBR1000RR is the first chain driven bike I have owned. All others had belts or shafts. Seeing as this is a track bike I decided to go from the 530 OEM chain to a 520 chain. This required me to of course remove the old 530 stuff and install the new 520 stuff. When looking for a chain tool the choices were very confusing! There are so many different chain tools some even within the same brand! I decided to go with this one based on price and reviews. There are some chain tools out there that are cheaper and some much more expensive. Many had pretty bad reviews but most for this tool were positive. Never having had to break a chain or rivet one I really didnt know what to expect. With many inexpensive tools instruction range from less than helpful to down right harmful. Thankfully with the tool the instructions are clearly written and have nice clear photos. Having used the tool once I will likely never need them again but if I do the very nice plastic case includes a pouch stuck to the inside of the lid to store the instructions, a very nice touch. The tool comes with all of the parts pictured but it also comes in a handy carrying case to store everything when not in use. Another item the dont show is it comes with a second pin which is nice because I guess these can break. With the clear instructions and the nicely etched markings on the tool, using it couldnt be much easier. When I broke my 530 chain with the tool I didnt grind down the pins before pushing them out with the tool. I wanted to see how it would work without doing so. It worked great. That may not have been too big a deal as I pressed out the pins of the old rivet style master link. Im guessing the pins on those are a bit softer than a regular pin. When I went to put the new 520 chain on though I had to remove a link. I pressed the pins out on the new 520 chain without grinding the them either. They pressed out very easily. Riveting the chain was easy enough but I over pressed the first pin. Now I get to do it again as soon as I get another master link. Thats not the fault of the tool. As far as I can tell this tool is well made and should last a very long time. I do believe though it will only do 5 series chains, 520-525-520, which is fine for most modern sport bikes I believe. The thing to keep in mind is that Ive never used any other chain tool but If you need a chain tool for a 5 series chain I highly recommend this one.

I must have received Paul Vs broken tool. Tool I received was obviously USED and BROKEN. Attached is a photo taken minutes after opening package. So much for putting on my chain today. Think Ill spend the extra bucks for the RK chain tool.

Very EZ to use. Well made and shows very little wear after a few chain changes.

Used to do a first-time chain replacement and worked amazingly well on a well-worn chain. Being my first time I did mess up the riveting process but that was on me skipping a step along the way (a very hard one to miss but I did). The product feels very sturdy and very solid, I would argue the price is still a tad excessive but I expect it will last for the rest of my life and definitely the lives of many chains and bikes. Would buy again.
