Went to press out first pin and head fractured on bolt and pieces stripped the inside threads. Email motion pro and quicklynreceived reply, sent picture and receipt, mailed out replacement parts same day. Hope the new ones work better. I think I will grind Most of the pin before pressing out this time. I just hope it will properly set the rivet correctly.

Works, but cheaply built the threads are already starting to gall after pushing only one link!

I bought this product and on the first use the handle portion of the product just broke. It was there that I saw this wasnt a steel handle.

I recently had to change my chain and sprockets on my 06 CBR600 F4i. I purchased the RK setup and a basic chain breaker. During my first attempt installation, it worked well but I did damage (bent) one of the pins from the breaker. I wasn’t worried because I was successful in riveting the chain. BUT I had to do another one of my bikes and Houston we have a problem. 525 chain and I bent/broke every pin that came with the kit. So now I was down a bike and had a dilemma, either I can grab another cheap breaker set from CycleGear or order the Motion Pro. I read the reviews and I always read the negative ones to see the complexity of the item. I decided to pull the trigger and make the purchase. I was so very fortunate that this breaker is worth every penny. Not only was it easy to use, the rivets that I made were professional looking. I wasn’t even worried about over riveting because the instructions were very easy to follow. Definitely a tool that will last many years.

This is such a solid built tool. I used to use a Stockton Tool Company chain breaker/riveter and it would seem like every 2 times I would break a chain, the rivet breaker would bend or snap. The metal was fragile and brittle and I would bend after the first rivet. Ive been using this chain breakers for a while and Ive never had this issue, occasionally I would get the chips of metal stuck in the thread which cause the unit to get stuck but its no big deal, thread it back in and blow out the debris and continue on with your task. This tool made riveting the chain so easy I actually cracked the rivet a couple times because of how light it feels compared to the cheaper units out there.

Made tool work easy. I still use my grinder to cut the link out initially. Just be mindful of your pin lest you vice the wrong things like your link vs the rivet. Always keeps extra master links on you.

Great quality and function. I always grind down the old rivets before pressing them out, so I couldnt find any signs of wear on this tool after replacing chains on a couple of bikes.
