Does what I bought it for

Works perfectly when converting a external HDD to internal HDD.

Some drives wont work in a NAS if you dont remove or insulate pin 3. Plain old electrical tape will work, but will get gummy over time. Also, if you have hotswap bays, the electrical tape will eventually fall off. This tape is thin, strong and wont leave residues.

Stay away from this. It melts easily, the color is off, and the color also peels off of the tape leaving clear spots. This is a cheap immitation of Kapton, and I am returning it.

I used them to tape out components around SMD I want to reflow/desolder. They work fine and they withstand my heatgun very well. Highly recommend them.
