> 24 hourI got this in a sale and it has worked perfectly and seamlessly along with my Xfinity modem and Plume Superpod mesh network. The UI is also very easy to navigate though I doubt moat will need to even use it

> 24 hourThis works perfectly. Everybody in the house can be connected through Ethernet instead of wifi. Happiness and joy.

> 24 hourThis review is for the GS908E: Its funny because I see quite a few reviews on here about this model and how poor the cable management design is. I dont know if they just havent had there morning coffee or dont understand cable management procedure and ergonomics but the cable management works flawlessly. No matter what gauge wire you have, this unit is designed to pinch your cable to conform it into place so as to not slip or move. Network cable is jacketed and the sleeve is meant to be pliable, meaning you can bend it and twist and pinch it and it wont hurt the cables inside of it. With that being said you can look at my picture and you can see my cables are pinched into place and they wont slip or move at all, great design Netgear, love it. My primary purpose for this switch is to converge my NAS and PC with Link Aggregation as Im consistently moving large movie files back and forth and I need the added speed of data transfer. It works as intended. Also, the webpage style interface is a pleasure and a breeze to work with, letting you adjust just about anything you might need. First thing you might do is update your firmware on the unit as I did and there was an update already for it. As for those folks that cant pinch a cable to fill a slot maybe you should let your grandmothers help you with that. Just saying, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to pinch a cable and put it in the slot and close the cover. Thanks Netgear for an awesome network switch.

> 24 hourThis Netgear managed switch is a great addition to my home network. I love how I can manage traffic and even set access times for various connected devices.

> 24 hourIt might be going back. The switch seems to operate fine but the cable management slots are barely big enough for the thin power cord and wont fit a standard Ethernet cable in the slightest which pushes the lid up which defeats the purpose.

> 24 hourThe switch is a light colored plastic. It looks nice and only has one small blue led that is visible. And even that can be turned off by the press of a button on the back of the switch. The flashing lights on the back where the cables plug in are masked by the cover that comes down to help lock in the cables. I was initially worried that the the plastic construction wouldn’t disparate heat like a metal enclosure, but I have not noticed any heat buildup so far. The slots for the cables on the back are too small. My Ethernet cables can be forced into place in the slot but I really do not like how much the cables get pinched to do this. I addressed this by bending every other tab over to give me plenty of space for my cables. The switch is “smart managed” which means by default it works and then via an app on your phone or by going to Network under file explorer and double clicking on the GS908E device. The password is “password”. Once logged in you can change the password and there is a decent graphical user interface to configure your switch to fit your needs. The Netgear GS908E also has two charging only USB ports that I found to be useless to my needs. Overall a nicely made smart managed switch that provides you the ability for customization to your needs.

> 24 hourThis 8-port switch costs just around the same as 5-port unmanaged switches that I previously purchased from other vendors. So far it has worked great for the past 24x7 time period.
