> 24 hourJust got the game today and was greeted with this upon startup. All 3 worlds were stuck at the same exact place too. And then I couldnt log onto my Amazon account despite entering the correct password. 666 + my amazon account not working = 10/10 actually had me nervous for a sec

> 24 hourI love Mario. I am a huge Mario fan, and if theres one game franchise that doesnt get old to me, Super Mario Bros. would be the one. The fact that the series goes full circle to the 2D gameplay of the older games means a lot to long-time fans such as myself, and they havent changed a thing! Actually, all changes made are for the better benefit. And they do seem to work quite well. Starting up the game, the first thing I noticed was that Bowser didnt kidnap the princess directly. He sends his kid, Bowser Jr., to kidnap her. After going through the first world, you fight Bowser like the classic NES Super Mario Bros. and drop him in magma. Afterwards, you spend the rest of the game chasing Bowser Jr. as he drags Toadstool across the worlds by her neck. Marios moves are all previously seen before. The legendary jump is still there, plus crouching. You can jump and stomp now, like in Yoshis Island, and do wall jumps like in Super Mario 64. Power-ups are very common as well, and they seem to conveniently be right where you need them. The level design takes cues from Super Mario Bros. 3, with Worlds secret paths that can be unlocked by buying your way through with Star Coins. On top of this greatness, you can store one item on the touch screen for later use--just like Super Mario World! The music is extremely catchy. It sounds cheap at first, but the more you listen to it, youll find yourself humming it even when youre not playing. I also like the power-ups. A Mega Mushroom for smashing through crap in the way, a Mini-Mushroom for fitting through small spaces, tiny pipes and running across water, and also a Blue Shell that lets you plow through foes after running for a bit. That being said, there appears to be no way to fly in the game, but thats fine because it wouldnt help anyway. The levels are restricted to either completely vertical or completely horizontal, so flying is useless. This obviously came from the first Mario game. On that note, the exception to screen scrolling is in water levels, which flow around like SMB3 or World. There are only minor flaws with this game. First of all, Mario seems a bit slow. If youre used to the SMB3 movement of Mario or even the World controls, youll be a bit disappointed to find that they made Marios movements a bit more realistic. He travels a little slower when carrying shells, water currents push you around making swimming your least-favorite thing about the game, and sometimes you try to jump over an enemy but realize Mario clips the front of them, and you get hit. That last thing is forgivable, but the other stuff kinda kills it for me bit by bit. Not to fear, the 1-ups in this game are easy to obtain. Speaking of which, thats one thing that in and of itself is a good and bad thing. Sure, you can run through a level and score like, five lives, but youll probably never game over as a result. Especially since after dying you can easily find another 1-Up in the level, it makes dying useless, so they might as well just not even have lives. Or game overs. Overall, this game took ALMOST everything that made Super Mario awesome (sans the flying, which you dont need anyway) and rolled it into one. Another thing I should mention is that its got high replay value. Try running through the game and trying to unlock everything. You may find yourself picking it up again and again! I barely got the game today, and Im already having memories of it. Nostalgia 2!

> 24 hourMy kids found Mario on YouTube. I have a DS, so when I told them we could find a game for it they went wild. They love playing it(even though they cant make it past the first level yet). They are 7 and 5 years old, but can play it good. My husband and I remember Mario from our youth and will play after they go to bed. I love that it helps them learn to think ahead.

> 24 hourMy family loves this Super Mario Bros game. I purchased it back in 2014. I played nintendo Super Marios growing up, so when I saw this, I bought for more kids, when I knew that I myself wanted to play this game. I love playing it with my kids. We have four Wii remotes, so I can play with my three kids (ages 14,12, and 9). We have playing it off and on for the last two years. We have solved it, but yet they still continue to play it. When they have friends over, this is the game that the play with most on the Wii. Sometimes they argue (you took my mushroom, you took my flower, etc), but overall we all have fun and work together to search for the coins and pass each world. If you ever played Mario brothers growing up, then you will defiantly want to give this game a try.

> 24 hourIve always been a fan of the original SMB for the NES & arcade. Who hasnt or isnt? The graphics are amazing, very colorful. The music is classic SMB done right. The play controls are tight and precise. There are numerous secrets to be found and the replayability is very high. There are some gamers who say the game is too easy. There are some areas that are, but the difficulty is just right in my opinion. The fun factor is out of this world, I wont reveal anything here, you have to play this game and experience it for yourself. Very highly recommended for SMB fanatics everywhere.

> 24 hourIts a pretty fun game but only for a little while. I actually wish I rented this or borrowed it from a friend first because I completed it in several days (which is a total shock for me because I have always been terrible at Mario! Love Mario but terrible at it.). What really put me off in the beginning was that in order to save the game, you had to defeat a tower, defeat a castle, or spend star coins to open paths to Mushroom houses. Youre forced to play a lot of levels in one sitting or put your DS on sleep mode if you absolutely have to walk away from the game at the moment. At least after you complete the entire game, youre able to save at any time. Theres a lot of frustration that comes with it as well. For example, to enter World 4 or World 7, you have to defeat the bosses in World 2 or World 5 as Mini Mario. Other than that, once you finish the main game, theres nothing left to do but figure out alternate routes on a couple levels and collect star coins you missed the first time around. I just think [...]+ was a tad too much to pay for this game.

> 24 hourThis is an entertaining game much like the Super Mario of my youth. I purchased it for my sons 5th birthday, my friend heard it in another room and asked if she could play, then her husband asked. This game is easy for anyone to get the hang of and enjoyed by all ages. If you loved the original Super Mario Bros. you should love this edition also.
