NIKON NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Standard Zoom Lens for Nikon Z Mirrorless Cameras

This is the best lens I have owned so far! Super Sharp!

Ive been shooting with this lens for a few days now and its hands down the finest standard zoom Ive ever used. If, like I was, youre wondering whether the 24-70/2.8 S pro zoom is worth the extra cost, bulk and weight over the 24-70/4 S kit zoom, the answer in my opinion - unless you absolutely must have the smallest, lightest lens possible - is unquestionably yes. Its tack sharp throughout its aperture and focal length range in a way that the f/4 zoom just cannot match. Its significantly sharper wide open (particularly at the wide end) than the f4 zoom at f/8. Contrast, colour and depth rendition are all equally impressive. Adding to the lens versatility is a very useful close range focussing capability and a simply gorgeous wide open rendering with some of the smoothest transitions Ive ever seen in a zoom lens. I get the impression Nikon is making a statement of intent with this lens. They have my attention. This is simply an outstanding world class lens of exceptional quality. Highly recommended.

About me: I primarily shoot video. When I am doing photography, I am usually shooting product, cityscape, nightscape, or night sky.

I bought this lens to use with my Nikon Z9 which I ordered the day the camera was released. However, now it appears I may not be receiving the camera body until after late October 2022. In the meantime, all I can do is hold up the lens and make camera shutter noise and pretend Im taking photos with it. The imaginary photos Ive been taking with it are great though, and I hope to start taking provocative nudes of my imaginary girlfriend with it soon!

Ein sehr gutes Objektiv, aber eines muss man sagen, der Preis ist einfach eine Frechheit und steht auch in keiner Relation zur Qualität. Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger sind zwar die optischen und mechanischen Eigenschaften besser geworden, aber es hat kein VR eingebaut und somit auch billiger in der Produktion. Trotzdem verkauft es Nikon um fast 100% teurer als der Vorgänger, unglaublich.

I hired one of these lenses to use with my Nikon Z5 at a special event and was blown away by the image quality. I decided life would be unliveable unless I had my own and sold a kidney and various other body parts but now am the proud owner of a Nikon Z24-70 f2.8 and love it. I notice the autofocus on the Z5 while not up to the standards of the Z6 ii or Z7ii bodies, is far better when using this lens. Especially in terms of locking onto moving objects like cars and motorbikes. The hit rate I find superior with this lens on the camera than others I have ( adapted and native glass). The lens has brilliant low-light performance and to my eye, edge to edge sharpness. I rarely have it off my camera now....but at this price you want your moneys worth I guess.

This is a perfect lens! I wonder it there is any difference between fixed focal lengths lenses that fall in this range and this lens. It is already very sharp at 2.8 and focusses fast and silent. The build quality is superb. Of course it is an expensive lens, but if you treat it well, it will last you for years to come.

I have been with Nikon for over 10 years and loved all cameras I have owned. However this lens is simply breathtaking. Combined with Z7 it produces the sharpest nicest pictures I have ever taken! I own the 24-70 f4 which is amazing but since I have purchased this beast I have not taken it of the camera. Photos have new dimension and video is simply amazing. I do own Sony mirrorless camera and I love it but for any serious work without hesitation I choose this lens! If you have the budget you must give it a go and try this compact marvel of the new era technology :) you will be happy you did !

Superb Lens Tack sharp Awesome results

This is the sharpest 24-70mm zoom lens I have used. It beats its f4 brother. Contrast and colour rendition are excellent and chromatic aberration is negligable. If anybody is thinking of buying this lens, dont think anymore, go ahead and buy one.
