NIKON NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Standard Zoom Lens for Nikon Z Mirrorless Cameras

In the most modest way, I can afford this lens but since I have the FTZ adapter for my Nikon Z5 I said, there is NOOO WAY I am going to spend $2K on the same lens I can buy for a fraction of the price as an F-mount version. I ordered the F-mount(non-VR) and was actually very happy with it, the images? Super sharp and clear! What bothered me about the F-mount version was that when you use it for video you can hear the motor focusing so your video is pretty much unusable if you try to use the continuous focus mode. I thought about it for a few days and finally decided to send it back and get my $600 plus dollars back but I still said to myself, theres nooo way I am going to pay $2K though, but then I sold it to myself by saying, well I am already almost $700 invested so might as well just pay the dam difference and if its not the Godsent lens the internet swears it is, its going RIGHT BACK!!

Kleiner, leichter als der Vorgänger. Absolut rattenscharf.

Acheté en reconditionné essentiellement pour remplacer le 14-24 2.8 F décidément trop encombrant sur les boitiers Z avec la FTZ et compliqué demploi avec sa grosse lentille proéminente et sa tendance au flare, jai été conquis par cet objectif. Sa qualité est comparable à mes fixes pour lusage que jen ai vu jusquà présent (photo dintérieurs). Je possède aussi le 14-30 f/4, qui est déjà très bon mais celui là est nettement supérieur, en particulier par son ergonomie identique à celle du 24-70 f/2.8. Je compte lutiliser cet été pour des paysages de nuit et revendre le 14-30.

This lens has the quality of a prime lens, but with zoom. It is the best zoom I have ever used. Excellent autofocus, excellent construction. Is it worth the investment.

This was the last lens I needed for the “holy Trinity” of Nikon lenses. The other two being the 70-200 f/2.8 S and 14-24 f/2.8 S lenses. I’ve been using them on my Z6ii and Z9 bodies and they are amazingly fast, quiet, and tack sharp images.

The lens is wonderful. Im a bit upset that Amazon sent me a used one for a new price. No warranty cards, dont know if it was a USA lens. Needless to say, it was returned.

Das Objektiv ist sehr wertig verarbeitet und der erste Eindruck ist hervorragend. Extrem schneller und präziser Autofokus und exzellente Bildqualität. Hoher Kontrast auf Auflösung auch in den Ecken. Gilt auch für offene Blende, wobei auch bei diesem Objektiv gilt, dass Abblenden um ca. zwei Blendenstufen optimale Ergebnisse im gesamten Brennweitenbereich liefert.

Nitidez brutal, calidad óptica y rapidez de enfoque. Con la Z7 es un lujo.

Busque el lente durante mucho tiempo, es todo lo que esperaba muy bueno y extremadamente nítido, muy rápido. Es alta la diferencia en nitidez entre el 24-70 f/4.0 y el f/2.8

I have the Z 70-200mm f/2.8, and wanted the Z 24-70 to cover the range below 70mm. The Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens will not disappoint. It has the same qualities of excellence like the Z 70-200 f/2.8. Its a little pricey, like all Z lenses, but to me, it was worth every penny. So happy that I made the investment.
