I did read the dimensions before ordering this but wow, its really big! This is in a 40 gallon terrarium and it takes up almost half. Filled it with digging material and still had enough room to place a cactus hideout with bathing sand.

UPDATED REVIEW (4 stars): The company has reached out to me and is sending me a new sandbox. They have excellent communication and fast response time. I feel the need to raise my rating because I really do love their products I have purchased so far. Hoping my hamster really enjoys his new sandbox soon! Original 1 star review: I received a used box that has the urine of who knows what animal in it along with some leftover sand stuck to it. The bowl looks like it was scrubbed really hard as well as some parts are rough. $20 for used wooden box? How am I supposed to sanitize it to be sure it is safe for my hamster?!

This is a nice sand box for a hamster. It is a little hard to clean the corners under the overhang.

I never knew they use the sandbath so much, she has enjoyed this in the environment and I will always have a sandbath now.

Best sand bath yet! I love this product, and so do my hammy, and 2 gerbils. It is so spacious and provides a little food bowl too. I put a small layer of epoxy resin on the bottom of both sand baths and it really helps to preserve the wood!

Huge, so happy to have found this. It could be deeper for more fun burrowing & fit better in their cages but I’m just really glad it’s big either way.
