I have to return this. He couldnt get in it or on top of it. There are definitely cheaper ways to make a sand bath than this. Also more creative ways to utilize space. This is probably great for larger animals though.

I bought 2 of these, one for each of my Syrians & one of them sleeps in it all the time, I have another small sand bath where they potty because that’s what they were using before I got this & they both pretty much potty trained themselves so to keep it cleaner I just kept their other sand bath as well, it’s more of a sand pit, it’s the pink dome critter sand bath that pet smart sells, which really doesn’t go with my natural cage theme but I’ve been working on a paper mache cover for it, the only thing that would make this product better is if the bottom were an acrylic tray so in case a hamster does potty in it it doesn’t ruin the wood & acrylic is also easier to wipe out than wood

Best sand bath yet! I love this product, and so do my hammy, and 2 gerbils. It is so spacious and provides a little food bowl too. I put a small layer of epoxy resin on the bottom of both sand baths and it really helps to preserve the wood!

I never knew they use the sandbath so much, she has enjoyed this in the environment and I will always have a sandbath now.

I love this sand bath and so does my little hammie it’s great for privacy and just overall best sand bath ever.

Good to hold sand and comes with a small dish for food! My hamster likes it and goes in it everyday!
