Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (60mm, Brown)

Awesome Fan. Works Perfectly After More Than A Year It Is Still Working Like New!

I used the Noctua NF-A6x25 as a replacement for a Sunon fan in my UPS. The UPS is now less noisy. (I did need to solder the old fans connectior onto the Noctua power connector as the UPS does not use the PC motherboard fan pin layout.)

I bought two of these for use as air intakes in a 2U server chassis. I was a little disappointed by their airflow relative to how much noise they make, as Noctua is usually synonymous with high performance and low noise. However, with fan control its not a huge issue.

I used and tested more fans than I care to remember, brand names and nondescript. Noctua outperforms any competition hands down, no matter what they claim in their spec sheets, including some really high-end fans like Noiseblocker or Nexus. This fan moves more air at any given RPM, and produces less noise while doing it. What noise it does make is also less obtrusive or annoying.

I have only 2.5 of clearance in my aquariums canopy. So I had to go with a 60mm case fan or a 1U rack fan like used in a DJs mixer rack.

Exceptionally quiet with the Noctua mounting kit. Resistors are provided (inside their cables) to run the fan at slower speeds, making it almost inaudible.

Eazy to instal on psu and never could be hear unless at 100% and even then it is very quite.

This is an amazingly quiet fan. Packaging is way better than expected. The quality of engineering is very good. It replaces a cheap Chinese generic fan. It is four times the price, but I am confident it will last ten times as long with much less noise. (I cannot hear it in my application. I use it to exhaust air from a kitty litter box to the outside. No odors in the house!!)

Ordered to replace a hydro-bearing ADDA 60mm fan which was noisy after 4 years on my Thecus N2200 NAS. This fan is superb.
