I didnt like my AMD 2700X hitting 75C - 78C under load, so I was looking at upgrading the stock cooler. Initially I was interested in AIOs, but dealing with pumps in addition to fans, extra noise, possibility of water leaking onto electronics, and additional part failures ... caused me to look at alternatives. The Noctua D15 was something I looked at, but dismissed because of the price, but eventually I came back to it.

Made in Taiwan. Superb quality, very effective cooling on CPU with both fans installed. Noctua fans are indeed super quiet!

Idles at 40c, max 68c, sits well over RAM, had to move GPU to lower slot for easier installation although I could have kept it in place.

What to day these clips are annoying they really need a better howto very hard to understand install, best youtube videos instead of trying to reverse engineer

I found the price a little bit higher at first, but my son insisted on getting this for his desktop build. Received it next day, installed without any problem. Very powerful yet quiet.

not disappointed at all. keeps my temps around 25-30 degrees C. installation was easy thanks to the am4 brackets. i was also impressed with the fans. they are surprisingly quiet. the only issue i have is that the cooler is slightly too big for my case(NZXT S340 elite), but this is more my fault for not doing more research. the top of the heat sink is right up against my glass panel, which i dont really mind because it gives me peace of mind about the heat sink sagging. that being said, i would totally recommend this. the performance is great and worth the price. my advice is do your research to make sure it fits in your case. a good rule of thumb is that if a 140mm fan can fit in the rear of your case, this cooler will fit.

I can only use one fan in the middle of the towers because of the RAM location on my Aorus B450M pro. Luckily it doesnt need 2. This sucker is MASSIVE, 140 x 150 mm tall probably. On my Ryzen 5 2600X at full power, overclocked, running VR and simultaneous web browsing, I have YET to exceed 100 F (~38 C) this is hands down the BEST cooler, water or air, I have ever used. Well worth every penny. and the 140 mm fans included moe over 70 CFM of air. And this is no exaggeration- I CAN NOT hear it at all. Noctua has my dollar for my next build.

no really this pulled this out of the box and felt like I was building a race car. It is big you need to have room in the case for this. I went with this over liquid cooling and glad I did.

Installation was easy, no issues with the mounting bracket with my Ryzen 7 1700x. I currently do NOT have an OC on the chip, but I am planning a 4.0Ghz OC. Install took about 10 minutes, even with the motherboard attached to my case. Was fairly intuitive, having installed a smaller noctua fan on a different system and an AIO H100i v2.

Taking a break from liquid cooling. This keeps the temp well below max temp on my ryzen 1600x, with less noise than the h115i
