Quercetin Review: I hate writing reviews, much less responding to any of them. But as I can empathize with anyone who had my condition, I spent the time to write this review. I had chronic arthritis in my left foot from a foot injury 2 years before. The pain was so bad I had a hard time going to sleep. The pain would start within a few hours after I woke up. The pain was so bad that I had a hard time concentrating on other things. It got so bad, I seriously thought about amputation. I am serious. X-Rays confirmed the diagnosis. Numerous doctors told me there was nothing they could do for it, but I finally went back to my main doctor & I told him I had started using tart cherry extract (two 1,000 mg capsules twice a day) and it seemed to be working. He prescribed a drug called meloxicam (7.5mg) which I also take twice daily. It got a little better, but it still it hurt. So I went back & he gave me a list of homeopathic drugs such as MSM, quercetin & others I forgot. I went immediately to nearest health foods store & bought by chance a brand of quercetin (like 18 $ for 30 to 60 pills -- ouch), but my foot got much better immediately, but not well enough for times when I walked a lot. After I ran out, I went online & bought Puritans Pride quercetin at a steal (I think it was 375 mg to 450 MG or so, not certain, 1 pill twice a day.) It worked fairly good & kept pain abay unless, again, I walked a lot. So when I went back to order more, I read some reviews that made me think that Puritan’s Pride quercetin was perhaps not that good. On the other hand, the NOW quercetin had very good reviews, and the price was around the same. I think my research regarding bromelain helped lead me to it. When I took it, (1 pill 800mg twice a day) I am elated & relieved to this day to say that the arthritis in my left foot completely disappeared. To be fair to Puritan’s Pride, the NOW quercetin was around twice as strong (800 mg vs say 400). But in the same breath, I must say Puritan’s Pride’s prices on their ubiquinol is getting out of the reach of common sense. But the biggest lesson I learned from all of this is that HOMEOPATHIC DRUGS DO WORK, and don’t let any quack tell you that they don’t. Sadly it doesnt help with gout one bit. Only colchicine does to my knowledge.

I cant take OTC or prescription allergy products due to the side effects and have seasonal allergies in addition to high sensitivity to onion and garlic, anything in the allium family in general, fennel, spider bites, etc. I have been taking 2 capsules of this twice a day (800 mg Quercetin/330 mg Bromelain 2 times per day on an empty stomach) for three years now. I took a health magazine article where an allergy specialist suggested this dosage to my doctor who prefers alternative treatment. When used for seasonal issues, the allergy specialist recommended starting this dosage 4-6 weeks before the start of the allergy season and continuing through the season. In my case, I found that the longer I am on it, the more I can also tolerate or react less to my food sensitivities. This means that while I cant eat onion at all, I can now get by with some onion seasoning and can add a few chunks of onion to the bottom of a roast or in a stew/soup for flavor. As long as I control the amount added and dont actually ingest the onion, this seems to work, most of the time. Now I can eat garlic seasoning and small amounts of cooked garlic, which is such a relief as it adds so much flavor to things and while I miss my onion in cooking/eating, I was a much bigger fan of garlic. When I do have reactions to eating something Im sensitive to, I just take an extra 800mg dose of this about an hour after eating if I notice some reaction. I still get internal throat and ear itching sensations during allergy season. When that happens, I add a third 800mg dose of this daily for awhile and drink one or two packets of Emergen-C. If I have moderate/severe itching and drink a packet of Emergen-C, that seems to reduce the itching after about an hour, but that has only been true since I started taking Quercetin with Bromelain. I hadnt been bit by a spider for years and got bit a few months ago. As soon as I was bit, the area began tingling, hurting, turning red and swelling, but not as bad as before I took this product. In the past, Ive carried an Epi-pen, but I guess Ive been lazy and let that go, because it isnt often one gets bit by a spider unless it is an occupational or hobby hazard. Anyway, I was bit on the web of my finger, Normally the reaction would be for my entire hand to swell, turn red and hurt and it would take a week of Benadryl capsules for it to resolve back to normal. The reaction this time was about 2 inches around the bite site. I applied Benadryl cream, and covered the site with a piece of tape to draw out the venom. After about 15 minutes, I decided that really wasnt helping, so I opened a charcoal capsule and made a paste with a few drops of water and applied it to the bite for a good half hour. With my much more limited reaction on the Quercetin/Bromelain, the charcoal paste application was able to do the trick. A few hours after the bite, there was absolutely no allergic reaction left. It was even hard to see where I had been bit...just a small red dot with a little skin puncture was detectable. Originally I took straight Quercetin capsules without Bromelain. However I know I have been using this brand with Bromelain for at least 1.5 years now and I do think the Bromelain makes a difference and since I am better on this than not, I can tell you that his brand is effective.

As one who has battled candida overgrowth for decades, Im always on the alert for immune system support and weapons against my bodys enemies. NEWS Quercetin with Bromelain is both. Its easy to swallow, relieves some of my gut stress, and helped reduce hip pain. No bad side effects when taken as directed. Thats my truth. I hope it helps you, too!

I was on a prescription seasonal allergy pill for ten years. As time went by, it appeared to be less effective. When I would ease back on the doses or quit taking it in winter (I live in the Midwest), my sinuses would plug up horribly and skin rashes would develop. If I got past those withdrawal effects, the itching would kick in. It was indescribable: constant, profound, affecting my sleep. No question, my body was addicted to the medication! I decided after much research to try quercetin as a natural alternative, to relieve these withdrawal symptoms and help me with my allergies moving forward. That was October 2018. The withdrawal symptoms lessened within the first couple days and within a month they were almost completely gone. When 2019 allergy season rolled around, I had an occasional drippy nose...after years of watery eyes and piles of tissues on a daily basis! I also used to get chronic upper respiratory infections, two or three every spring, and these, too, are in the past. I am not prone to long reviews, but I was inspired by other reviewers when choosing the NOW brand and felt I needed to pay it forward! I could never have predicted how much this supplement has improved my quality of life.

I suffer from seasonal allergies - mild symptoms during spring and severe symptoms during fall. Here is a practical study/experiment which I did on myself. Before consuming Quercetin+Bromelain 1. Sneezing - Middle of the night (2 AM), early morning as soon as out of bed & anytime of the day 2. Stuffed/runny nose - most of the day 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - shallow breathing due to blocked nostrils After consuming Quercetin+Bromelain - 2 Vcaps before breakfast, 2 Vcpas before dinner. Day 1 - Friday: 1. Sneezing - Middle of the night (2 AM), early morning as soon as out of bed & anytime of the day 2. Stuffed/runny nose - most of the day 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - shallow breathing due to blocked nostrils Day 2 - Saturday: 1. Sneezing - Middle of the night (3 AM), early morning as soon as out of bed & anytime of the day 2. Stuffed/runny nose - most of the day, but LOT better than yesterday 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - better than yesterday Day 3 - Sunday: 1. Sneezing - Middle of the night (2 AM), early morning as soon as out of bed & anytime of the day 2. Stuffed/runny nose - most of the day 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - able to take deep breath Day 4 - Monday: 1. Sneezing - No sneezing middle of the night, but had a couple of bouts early morning as soon as out of bed & anytime of the day 2. Stuffed/runny nose - mostly clear, no stuffiness, sometimes runny but not for long 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - able to take deep breath Day 5 - Tuesday: 1. Sneezing - No sneezing middle of the night, but lots of thin watery mucous discharge, started around 2 AM, continued for most of the day. 2. Stuffed/runny nose - Stuffed, runny most of the times 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - shallow breathing due to blocked nostrils Day 6 - Wednesday: 1. Sneezing - Early in the morning (4 AM), and another bout of sneezing as soon as out of bed & anytime of the day 2. Stuffed/runny nose - Stuffed, runny most of the times 3. Itchy eyes - most of the day 4. Breathing - shallow breathing due to blocked nostrils 5. Itchy throat Day 7 - Thursday: 1. Sneezing - No sneezing middle of the night, but had a couple of bouts early morning as soon as out of bed. Not many during day time. 2. Stuffed/runny nose - mostly clear, no stuffiness, sometimes runny but not for long 3. Itchy eyes - not much, but still little itchy 4. Breathing - improved from yesterday, not deep enough 5. Itchy throat - mild. good improvement from yesterday As you can see from the above, my conclusion is that this product did not work for me - atleast not after continuous use of 7 days. I will keep monitoring for another week and I may update the review later as well. UPDATE: Downgrading to 1 star since there are no signs of alleviation even after using it for 1 month.

I’ve used this product along with Co-Q10 and some other supplements as an anti aging regimen. Also I was dating a much younger woman, so I wanted to maximize performance ;). However, I recently had a first-ever hives outbreak. Dr. prescribed steroids, zero impact. Read online studies showing Quercitin at higher doses combined with antihistames helped accelerate elimination of hives. So far, seems like on the mend, we will see. NOW brand is a great value, and was first supplement company to be certified by UL as authentic. Note most other supplements come from China, from uncertified brands, so do we really have any idea that we’re getting what we’re paying for?

I have fibromyalgia, which means that my muscles and joints are very weak and often terribly sore. My knees are particularly troublesome-- after unusual physical exertion (ie. two four-hour retail shifts in a row, featuring walking, extended standing and light lifting) theyll start to give out whenever I put weight on them, leaving me unable to walk for weeks. I have actually changed my entire career over this. On the recommendation of the woman at our local Alternative Market, I now take these pills with some curcumin (thats the main anti-inflammatory in turmeric, but I could probably just have the spice instead if I could stand the taste). Within two days, I no longer felt pain. I could feel weakness in some of my joints, but for the first time in years, nothing hurt. Ive just finished my first bottle, and looking back, even the weakness is gone now. I walked ten miles with my fiancee last week, albeit punctuated by frequent sitting breaks. About 2/3 of the way through, I felt some mild pain flaring up in my knees, and in ten minutes of rest I was ready to get back up and keep going. Got home, went to bed, woke up, I could still walk just fine. Starting my second bottle now-- no more pain, and now the weakness is gone too. Its AMAZING the difference this makes! I havent tried it by itself, but man, if it doesnt seem to be doing enough by itself then try it with some curcumin or turmeric!

They were a 5-star when I was doing keto and I ordered them. Now into the Carnivore lifestyle. Unfortunately these have Oxalates. I can only take 1/2 the dose so my joints don’t hurt. For Vegans, they’re 100% and NOW is a great company.
