This is a lifesaver for my cats. I adopted them from a shelter and both have the herpes virus causing persistent and lately often severe upper respiratory issues among other health issues. I started using this in their wet food and also added it to their water. It dissolves quickly, and they seem to drink more water now if it has the lysine in it. Since I’ve started using this, both of my cats are in excellent health with no more stuffiness, sneezing, discharge, difficulty breathing, etc. Also is great for my cat who has lots of food allergies because this is simply lysine with no flavor enhancers like the pet versions have. You also get a lot for the price. Very happy I gave this a try and wished I had purchased it sooner.

Absolutely the best Lysine Ive bought - Am SO happy with this! Love that its made in the USA too. I take between 1-5 grams daily in about 4 oz of lemon water. When taking 4-5 scoop dosage I can taste it. It should be taken with water and I sometimes dilute it with a little more water. Have bought many different Lysine products over the years. Sometimes the capsules were the size of horse pills. When taking 5 at a time it was not fun. I understand why many ppl cant swallow them. I tried cutting them in half once and it left a sharp edge scratching my throat. Fail. Lysine is required for the formation of collagen, a protein that acts as a scaffold and helps support and give structure to skin and bones. It promotes wound healing after surgery. Can significantly reduced blood pressure. Reduce stress. Protect against and treat cold sores. Helps the body absorb calcium, iron, and zinc. Support the immune system. Deficiency can cause symptoms of fatigue, poor concentration, irritability, nausea, red eyes, hair loss, anorexia, inhibited growth, anemia, and problems with the reproductive system. Some other uses are for preventing loss of lean muscle mass and mobility issues in older adults, relieving anxiety, preventing bone loss and osteoporosis by helping the body absorb calcium, promoting the healthy growth of skin, treating shingles, moderating blood pressure, preventing plaque buildup in arteries, supporting hair growth, building muscle in bodybuilders, helping athletes recover from intense workouts. Doses: Most people can take a daily dose of 3-5 grams (g) of lysine without any side effects. Increasing to higher dosages of 10–15 grams (10,000-15,000mg) a day may result in digestive issues, such as diarrhea, nausea, or stomach cramps. Experts believe that lysine is most effective when people take it with water on an empty stomach. A persons body weight affects how much they generally need as follows: 12 mg/kg of body weight for adults, and 44 mg/kg for children 11 to 12 years old. Can’t give an honest review ... yet ... I didn’t get a scoop and I don’t know how much a scoop is in measurement

The Vet suggested that I use L-Lysinefor my kitten. He was a rescue and was sneezing and his eyes were running. Two courses of antibiotics didnt help. Once I started the lysine, sprinkling this on his food. He started getting better. After a couple weeks on it hes fine. I dont know whether to continue giving it to him or not but I really think it made a difference.

I read everything on a few lysine products. And clicked the best value....... but neglected to see it was a powder sooo.. not what I expected. Works great does it’s job not sure if better yet or not, but as good as a pull form. Takes in water/ juice/ soda is bitter. Small amount of liquid so more so ya if in an 8 oz glass. I take it with less than 1/8th C so I cannot complain since it could be better than if in a larger amount of liquid. I just mix take and go on. So far. I would recommend this powder.

Digests too quickly.

I have a cat that needs this supplement otherwise he gets congested and sneezes all day. I mix this in his water using a shaker and hes none the wiser. It works and its not expensive.

Tastes pretty sweet. This is a big tub, it will last me a while. I use it to keep viruses dormant or to fight them off. I take 1-2 scoops per day. It helps me with EBV. Im not dealing with the bone cold anymore.
