My cat has feline herpes so her eyes are really goopy. Ive tried EVERYTHING including the most expensive eye drops/creams/ointments the vet has. I even tried lysine cat treats but they all did nothing. I figured Id give Lysine one more go with this supplement. I mix it into her food and it has done WONDERS. I recommend giving twice a day, as once per day was not as effective.

This odorless, colorless, tasteless L-Lysine powder is the only thing I have gotten to work for my cat EVERY SINGLE DAY. Kitty is getting older and has developed the eye boogers in the warm months. Its a very common form of cat herpes that only cats are affected by. I put about a teaspoon a day in my cats wet food and it works wonders. I literally have to give it too him daily to keep it from getting out of hand. Ive purchased different types of treat treats with L-Lysine and my cat just wont eat them.... or he will eat them for a few days and never touch them again. This is the only thing that really works. Arrived 2/28/21 with Best Before date of October 2023 - excellent! Tastes slightly sweet when trying the powder directly from the container, so Im sure this will be palatable in any drink, even water. Happy with this purchase.

This is the absolute best option for lysine. It dissolves easily in any liquid and has minimal taste. Ive tried lysine pills before that ended up hurting my stomach and tasted horrible. I mix this with a little juice and I am good to go in minutes

Absolutely the best Lysine Ive bought - Am SO happy with this! Love that its made in the USA too. I take between 1-5 grams daily in about 4 oz of lemon water. When taking 4-5 scoop dosage I can taste it. It should be taken with water and I sometimes dilute it with a little more water. Have bought many different Lysine products over the years. Sometimes the capsules were the size of horse pills. When taking 5 at a time it was not fun. I understand why many ppl cant swallow them. I tried cutting them in half once and it left a sharp edge scratching my throat. Fail. This is a massive container of lysine, which is great but I was alarmed and immediately checked the expiration date to see how long I have to go through this stuff (I am using small quantities for my cat). It expires only 8 months from today! The normal shelf life of lysine is 36 months. So I have about 25% of the amount of time I should to use this massive container- it will mostly go to waste. Shame on this company for selling something with less than a year to live. This is not a bargain grocery outlet, and I trusted them to send me a product with a normal shelf life since I was obviously unable to check. Buyer beware.

Im very pleased with this enormous one kilogram tub of lysine powder. For years I used the Now Foods brand, but for whatever reason couldnt find it anymore, and was trepidatious about trying another brand. This is very good value for money. As a precaution to ensure freshness, I keep my lysine in the refrigerator since it takes me a while to get through the container. Medical professionals, both human and animal, disagree on the efficacy of vitamin supplements in the diet. Me, Im a believer. I have two cats with herpes, and lysine controls their runny eyes. I put 1/4 teaspoon in each 5.5 ounce can of cat food and havent had a problem with acceptance. For myself, I put lysine in my morning coffee and dont even know its there. The grainy texture of the lysine powder is not a concern, as it dissolves in water very quickly; I actually find it easier to handle than the finer powders.

This product dissolves well in water and seems to work great! I had a cold sore coming on and I took this and the next day it was totally gone!

I’m taking chemo that can cause mouth sores. When my oncologist told me she’s putting me on this new “med”, I logged onto my metastatic breast cancer Facebook group and many of the members told me to get this and my mouth will feel much better. So far, so good! I just add some to my coffee in the morning.
