o.b. Original Non-Applicator Tampons, Ultra Absorbancy, 40 Count (Pack of 1)

How could I ever forget the mortifying christmas eve at my boyfriends familys house when ultra sadly became a necessity in my life, I was 36. I really wish they made organic ones but super plus & others definitely dont cut it like these do! love the compact purse/pocket fit, & no applicator waste. Ive tried a blossom cup in recent years but ultra is the only thing that works with the heavy start of my cycle (and thank you amazon for next day delivery!) they are uncomfortable when not necessary (no pregnancies for me) so I have super plus & super for lighter days when my cup is not practical. Can no applicator be messy- yep, especially on ultra days, but I strongly believe in being environmentally savy so I deal. If its impractical or unsanitary, sure, search out an environmental applicator or a hack like some listed here

Products are great, shipping of products was awful boxes were destroyed and items were rolling around in the bag!

These were my go-to tampons for many years. Other brands just dont compare for leak protection, as long as you flange the end as directed. It is also a good segue to get you accustomed to putting your hands up there on the regular while you have a period, if you wish to transition to a menstrual cup. I did so recently and wished Id done so a very long time ago. Way better for the environment and the wallet, and less risk of TSS

I cant live with out these. I hope they dont get discontinued these are hard to find. I have a heavy flow for at least the first 3-4 days. These are life savers on having to run for the bathroom every 30-40 mins. I have been using O.B. since I started and I love how discrete these are. Literally no more embracing moments they fit into you hand and arent bulky. So if you are scared of people seeing you taking these to the bathroom dont be. These take care of those heavy days like a charm.

I always had trouble using tampons with the applicator. These tampons dont have one, and I find them sooooo much easier to insert. The absence of an applicator also means generating less trash, which I like

Great that I dont need to go into the store and get delivered to home for pricing that is great. OB is only tampon used as they absorb better than others. Got too used to stores being out of the ones used.

I tried these after Kotex quit making the super plus tampons that have been the only thing that worked with my extremely heavy flow for decades. These OB tampons are horrible. Even with heavy flow, they absorb as they are being inserted, meaning that you are trying to shove dry cotton inside while it abrades your tender tissues. Insertion is painful. Then, they are difficult to place in the exact location for comfort, something that I have never had trouble with using a traditional applicator. Of the 3 I tried before throwing the rest in the trash, only 1 stayed in place properly. I will continue to search for an absorbent tampon but OB is off the list for good.

Ok. So. I’m 46. I’ve been using applicator tampons for over 25 years. I’ve never tried non- applicator ones before. Decided to try these out. I’m a plus sized girl. So I’m sure that’s the issue, is that I cannot get them up far enough without assistance. My finger just doesn’t go that far. So I was ready to toss them. Then I pushed one in with my finger and then used a suppository applicator (that I use for my boric acid capsules) to push it up the rest of the way, and voila. They are actually great once you get them in. I like that they are shorter in length, and have a nice long string. I have a heavy flow and these didn’t leak at all. I won’t buy them again. Just because they’re not convenient when using away from home. I’ll stick with my plastic applicators.
