I have a bunch of similar plugs I bought years ago and use the SmartLife app. I needed a few more and bought another brand but they werent compatible with the same app. I honestly dont need anymore apps in my life so I got these and I can set them up with the same app and they integrate with Google Home or Alexa which is key.

I wanted to use them for lamps in the kids rooms to be operated by Alexa. Instead I had to download an app and operate them thru the app.
