ONeill Wetsuits Child Reactor USCG Life Vest

Our child is on the top end of this size at 45 pounds, but I was worried about getting the next size up for 50-90 pounds. This one fit perfect, and was worth it as we ski/boat/swim in the lake. He did wear it once without a rash guard and said it rubbed under his arms, but no problems at all with the rash guard. It is pretty sleek relatively speaking so he doesnt mind wearing it at all!

Perfect fit and good comfort for our picky 7 year olds! We love the bright colors for increased visibility.

This jacket was WAY too big for my 3 year old. We bought a different color for my son and even that vest was smaller than this with the exact same specifications. I will say that it fits my cousins 4 year old daughter perfectly. She is thicker than my daughter by a lot (I have string bean kids ... haha) so 5 stars because it still works, just not on my child.

This is a horrible product. I bought it a month ago and my 2yo son has used it 3 times. I use the term used lightly as it has been used in the water once when he jumped in to cool off. The other two times he wore it on a boat. The right side is separating at the shoulder- the entire length of the connection is literally hanging by a thread. On closer inspection, the handle behind the head - what you would grab to save the child if he fell in is also separating... Zero stars.

My son isnt a strong swimmer yet, so we need life vests for simple swimming in town pools and state beaches. (all flotation/swim assistant gear needs to be US Coast Guard approved). This was very comfortable and gave him more range of motion in his arms while swimming. Unlike the classic boxy nylon life vests, this one didnt seem to leave a red mark of irritated skin under his armpits, which is always an added bonus.

Soft material! My 3 1/2 year old likes it and actually wants to wear her “big girl” life vest!
