> 24 hourWorks great. Some of those screws are tricky hidden under the grippy nubs of the Wii. Got it swapped and works great!

> 24 hourTook the old drive out, put this one in and was good to go in about 30 minutes. It’s been about a month and still working good.

> 24 hourIt worked like a champ but there were no directions. So I had to use a YouTube video and the guy hadnt done it before so it was a little tough but I got through it.

> 24 hourIts been 7 years since I first bought my replacement and it continues to run like a charm. Be sure to study a teardown well in advance to be safest with your installation

> 24 hourIve replaced two original drives with these and both installed and run without issue. When installing, it helps to magnetize your screwdriver slightly (a refrigerator magnet does the trick) to help replace two of the screws that are harder to access.

> 24 hourJust received my DVD drive in the mail yesterday after mine started to refuse games a few months back. I was very nervous when I ordered it as reviews seemed hit and miss. Luckily mine works just fine. Took me about 10 minutes to install. Make sure you have a Tri-Tip screwdriver before attempting this! Without one, you will strip out the heads on the screws. If you are uncertain about how to open your Wii safely, there are many YouTube videos out there that work rather well. Just be careful to pull your Wii apart slowly as there are a few cables that are attached to parts that need to come off. The main front shield has one attached to it, and the DVD drive itself has 2 on the bottom that need to be unhooked. Overall, for anyone with electronics repairs experience, this should be fairly easy. Have tested it on many games, both new releases and original releases, as well as my whole catalog of Gamecube games. Everything works fine! Given the wear and tear on the exterior I would assume this looks more like a used drive than a new, but hey, it works.

> 24 hourI decided to blow the dust of my Wii and play it again. It turned on but the disc drive wouldnt work and made a clicking noise when a disc was inserted. I ordered this drive and watched a YouTube tutorial to help guide me through the process of changing it out. The drive arrived in perfect condition and even included a tri-wing screwdriver, which was a great help! It took me about 20 minutes to take out the original drive and insert this one. I tested the drive before putting everything back to together and it worked marvelously! I then put the Wii cover back on and spent the next few hours enjoying games I had forgotten about. Im so glad I bought this!!!!
