I am going to be doing some projects where I will need to make some battery cables and grounds. This is a nice terminal end kit.

This is a very nice assortment of tinned copper wire lugs that should prove useful to anyone installing solar on an RV. The typical installation requires the use of connection blocks, fuzes, battery protection, and battery monitor shunts that might each use different bolt dimensions. Having a kit likes this with a wide variety of lug sizes will help the process go smoothly. Youll probably still need to order a separate bag of the most common type for your system install (eg bag of 25 6AWGx1/4 lugs) but you wont need to buy a complete bag just to get one or two of an unusual size.

Ordered this kit for a few reasons. First reason was to replace the corroded (broken) end of a lawnmower battery line. After cutting the old one off and stripping the wire back, I was able to use a bench vise to secure the fresh wire to a #2AWG connector. No problem at all. The other purpose I had in mind was for making up grounds for any of my vehicles. I have no doubt they will hold up, as these lugs are fairly stout. The heat shrink tubing provided is more than thick enough to protect the end.

The 56 copper lugs that came with this product are very good.

I have 5 trailers and two tractors. I am constantly adding grounds and heavy wires where these lugs will come in handy. I mounted a winch to my car hauler and I was able to make custom length cables and color them red for hot and black for ground using the supplied heat shrink. The heat shrink is large enough for any of the cables I have used so far for standard automotive use. Make sure when you shrink the tape that you have it all the way forward on the lug and start at the end using a heat gun to make sure it stays and does not show bare wires if too low.

This kit is high quality easy crimp and the heat shrink works perfectly

This is a kit that you may never need, but if you do it is a very good value. Unless you work in the automotive or the electrical field you might need this kit once or twice but if you do you can rest assured that the size connectors or lugs you need are in this kit. It contains 8 - 6 - 4 - 2AWG lugs with both 5/16 and ⅜ bolt holes. The best part is that the kit also has the red and black shrink tubbing. A while back I had to replace a couple heavy gage wires under a travel trailer and was unable to find the correct size lug or the red shrink tubbing. I wish I had this kit then.

TLDR; These are on par, if not a heavier-duty lug than I get from my local supply house. Big thumbs up!

I do a lot of small engine to racecar work. Always need to make custom battery cables and these fit the bill perfect. Just rewired an older tractor using these and worked as well as any others I have used. Have a racecar project next that I will be using these on.
