Excellent replacement sled. Well worth the price to ensure you dont mess up the backplane when upgrading to an ssd. Its made of decent quality metal, and fits the original slots well. Normally I find OWC products too expensive for what I am doing, despite their stellar reputation. But as of this writing there isnt much else out there for sled replacements, especially ones that dont require an adapter, and the asking price is definitely reasonable.

Fits perfectly. Kinda wish it was silver to match the other hard drive sleds, but makes it easy to find my SSD.

I have used these for a 2.5” SSD and a 2.5” hard drive. I have one in each of my early-2009 and mid-2010 Mac Pro computers. Exceptional build quality and perfect fit.

First attempt to add a new drive to my Mac Pro. Extraordinarily easy. Once the ssd and drive sled arrived, all I had to do was secure the drive to the sled with the 4 screws provided, insert the sled/drive into the Mac Pro and power it up. Had to format the drive and everything works as it should. Way easier to do than I expected.

Works perfectly..installs and can be removed easily. Excellent value for the cost. I higly recommend this item.
