Greater than one weekThis is a good quality fire blanket. Hopefully I will never need to use it but its great to have in the home just in case.

> 3 dayIt’s hard to write a review for something like a fire blanket, as I have actually used it and hope I never need to. But I’m a pretty safety conscious guy with a couple of teenagers that occasionally go brain dead in the middle of cooking something on the stove, and while I have two fire extinguishers near the kitchen, the thought of cleaning up that mess led me to want a fire blanket hoping that could take care of a smaller fire before going full Fire Marshall Bob. If I ever have to actually deploy the blanket and it works, I’ll come back and upgrade my four stars to five.

Greater than one weekThankfully, I have never yet had to use this product, but I like how compact it is and it is easy to store/keep on hand for emergencies.

> 3 dayThis is one of those items where I’ll be very very happy if I never have to use it. I have it hanging on the side of the tool chest in my craft studio. I actually did have a piece catch on fire the other day, but thankfully it went out as soon as I took the heat aay and I didn’t have to bust out the blanket. :-) But I was very glad it was there if I had needed it.

> 3 dayI recently moved into a new house and realized I needed some sort of fire suppression device (fire extinguisher or fire blanket) since, unsurprisingly, the previous owners didnt leave one. I had the opportunity to try this product and it has already given me such a piece of mind! The product arrived in simple packaging consisting of a clear plastic envelope/enclosure. The instructions for use are right on the outside of the fire blanket cover, so I read through those to familiarize myself with what Id need to do if, god forbid, something in my house caught on fire. Essentially you just pull the straps to get the blanket out from its cover, then throw the blanket over the fire (or wrap up the on-fire person in the blanket) to put the fire out. Because it clearly stated it was made of glass fibers, and as other reviewers have pointed out, unfolding it can cause some splinters, I did not open the blanket. The directions are so straightforward I did not feel it necessary to undo the blanket when I did not need to use it. The blanket seems to conform to modern fire safety standards so that is enough to satisfy me. Overall, this is a great product for roughly $13, and Id recommend it to anyone needing some sort of fire suppression product for their home!
