    Greater than one week

Im not a mom! So I googled Best gifts for 1 year old and this thing popped up. Amazing find. My niece used this as an awesome transition toy from crawl to walk. She loved how fast she could zoom around! And then once she was walking she used it as a little bike. Sturdy. Durable. My sister & bro-in-law have recommended it to other friends as well. Highly recommend!

This thing is awesome! I got it a couple of months ago at the point where my daughter can walk while holding my hand, but she wasnt confident enough to even try walking on her own (so she always got back down on her knees to crawl somewhere, and then stand up again once she got to where she wanted to go even though its no more than a couple feet in distance). We have one of those push walkers, but the wheels always slid too fast away from her and so she could never push one of those on her own. It took her 5 minutes to be comfortable on the Ybike the very first time I put her on it, and then after that she was literally rolling all over the house on her own! The design is amazing. The body is slender in the middle, so that when my daughter is straddled and walking, it doesnt require her to open her natural stance too much. The tail of the body widens so that she doesnt slip out the back end. The height is perfectly low enough to encourage her to stand and walk instead of sit and paddle, but she can sit on it when shes tired. The wheels are 360 spinner style and rollerblade quality, which makes the Ybike very easily maneuverable in every direction (and doesnt require me to drop whatever Im doing to go and get her unstuck or turned around). Its small and compact compared to the traditional walkers on the market (we live in the city and dont have much space), and totally works even in small spaces. My only very minor complaint is that the color of the product featured in this picture is all wrong. The description says pink, but the picture looks like its got more of a purplish hue. Its totally pink...think bubble gum pink.

I purchased this as one of my sons many 1st Birthday gifts... =) On his birthday, his feet were just shy of hitting the floor, so he couldnt really push himself around on it right away. However, he was very intrigued by it, and he loved crawling around & pushing it like a car. Now at 13 months, he cruises around on his Pewi like a pro! He still isnt walking without holding onto a table or furniture, so I think he really loves the freedom of movement this bike gives him. As a walker, I believe this is for more experienced walkers, as its much too fast for beginners, & it moves in all directions. He really does well with his Haba push wagon though. (It is the blue & red one with a seat up front, and it has an adjustable brake to slow it down when they are just starting out. Its very heavy/sturdy so it doesnt tip easily, and it really is a quality piece). My sons 2 year old cousin also loves riding around on the Pewi, so I believe that my son will enjoy it for quite some time. Depending on how fast he progresses with it, I plan on purchasing him a balance bike for Christmas (@18months) or for his 2nd birthday. Overall, this red Pewi Bike is very sturdy, very inexpensive, & a lot of fun for little ones. I highly recommend it!

This is great indoor or outdoor on a flat surface for our 1.5 year old. I think he’ll use it as he gets older as well.

This is a great learning and riding toy. The wheels are 360 so they can spin if they want to and the wheels are soft and rubbery so they haven’t scratched my hardwood floors and it’s super quiet.

Kid didnt start using this bike until learning how to confidently walk. I was worried that the bike wasnt going to be used when there was not interest in that learning to walk phase. I eat my words because this thing is zooming around my house every day. Best purchase we could have made. Doesnt mark up our floors and hasnt made dents in the walls. Wheels go in all directions so able to move it all around. Easy to assemble when following a video example. Cant wait until the bike actually starts being ridden instead of pushed around like it is now. For reference our 1yo is in the top 5 percentile for height and cannot place feet flat on the floor when sitting on the bike. Will come soon and then we will be in big (but fun) trouble.

Our toddler used this Y-bike from about 9 months until he was about 2 years old. He used it both as a ride on toy and as a walker. It worked beautifully on our hardwood floors without any tipping over issues. The castor wheels really let him go everywhere without the frustration he was having with his other push toys and ride-on toys. His other toys, were really geared towards going in a straight line or maybe a slight turn, but most (and he had a lot of them) he wouldnt be able to actually change direction without falling over or getting off or standing up and jerking the toy to a new direction, then sitting back down. There was none of that with the Y-bike. He loved it so much that we just bought one for his younger cousin. Wish we hadnt gotten rid of his when he turned two...

I purchased the Pewi (pink) for my 13 month old daughter. Shes 23 lbs and, at the time of purchase, was not yet walking. It took her a couple of days to understand how to work the bike, but once she figured it out, she loved it. I really like that it only took me 5 minutes to put it together. After a week of using the Pewi inside and outside, my little girl has taken a few steps walking on her own. She still prefers to use the Pewi to get around, but it has helped her gain confidence to walk and strengthen her legs. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is a little plastic part on the top of the bike (that is supposed to hide a couple screws) that wont stay in. It keeps popping off. It doesnt effect the function of the bike in any way, its just annoying that it wont fit. I honestly think it was just a fluke that it doesnt fit.

We bought this bike for my DS when he was a year old to encourage him to walk around on his own as he couldnt walk yet. It is an amazing walker for toddlers who can stand and cruise. We have hardwood floors so it moves pretty quickly so I wouldnt recommend it for babies just starting to cruise. The handling on this thing is wonderful! It allows my DS to maneuver like a pro around our condo and in and out of rooms. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is because I wish the seat was a little wider on the thinnest part. My DS doesnt like riding on it even though hes tall enough too. I think the seat area is too narrow and quite uncomfortable for him. But other than that a love this product!
