Great product. Too pricey. Should be about $15-20

Like the GU10 bulbs, these E12 bulbs are slightly longer than your standard E12. They fit fine in the fixtures I put them in but they are noticeable from an angle the old bulbs werent. Not a big deal but something that should be mentioned. Otherwise, a fantastic bulb in the hue lineup. I wouldnt mind a full RGB version of this bulb.

Work as youd expect it to work. The hue products are all a bit expensive but theyre also pretty hassle free, more so than some of the other smart home products Ive tried. Fair warning, if you install a bunch of these you could be doing firmware updates for the rest of your life.

Smart bulbs are so helpful: like the ability to have a “light” turn on gradually at a certain time. Makes getting up that much easier.

If you are having connection issues immediately check the bulbs to ensure that your bulbs have serial numbers. If they do not have serial numbers they are not HUE bulbs and will not connect to the bridge. Three of the ten bulbs I purchased were regular led Philips bulbs disguised in hue packaging. Check each bulb for a unique serial number. If it does not have a serial number it is not a Hue Bulb and you need to contact customer service. Amazon customer service was fantastic, took my issue very seriously, and resolved it. The 7 other bulbs are fantastic and I absolutely love them. The bulb in the picture is one of the three that were disguised in hue packaging. The actual bulbs look completely different on the back.

Good, nice brightness

It works great with Alexa. But... its WAY overpriced. It runs about 35.00 Ikea bulbs about 7.00 But in all fairness its far, far easier to set up compared to Ikea bulbs.

Do not buy these lights! These lights are good in theory but they are not ready for prime time in the slightest. The main gripe I have is that you cannot use your actual light switch to use these lights in the way you likely want to. For example, say you want a nice blue tinted light in your room rather than the more yellow tint the bulb gives off when you first put in in. Too bad. Seriously, turning the light off with your light switch automatically resets the color back to the standard yellow rather than the color you took the time to set it to. The only work around are to 1) use the app to turn your lights on and off (cumbersome and unintuitive) or 2) to buy their light switch (which, if you ever accidentally use your real light switch to turn the lights off, still means you must use the app to get them back to the color you desired. That’s ridiculously stupid for a ‘’smart’’ light.

Philips support in India is absolutely horrible. Bought a bulb in May of 2019. Started flickering this week. Called support whom connected me to someone very nice in India reading their script. What a nightmare! They wanted every single tiny number from the bulb, gave me the 3rd degree regarding where I was using it, asking if I was sure I wasnt using it outside. They opened a ticket, wanted a picture of the bulb, wanted a picture of the fixture, then wanted a photo of the invoice from Amazon. This process took 45 minutes. Then they put me on hold. Guess what happened next? We got disconnected and I had no number or name to reference when calling back!!! I spent $30 + tax on a light bulb. If this happens to you, dont call. Get creative with the broken one and a big box store purchase/return
