> 3 dayThis was a fairly simple set-up that works great. Basically, you cut two holes within the same vertical studs using the provided templates, feed the cables behind the wall, connect them, then screw in the outlets. You can do this in about 15 minutes if you have the right tools and the space behind your wall is relatively free of insulation, or roughly double that if you need to clear some space. There are a few things I wish I would have known that make me only rate it as 4 stars instead of 5: 1) There was no guide wire provided to help pass the HDMI/cable cords behind the wall. Some other kits have these wires, or provide tubing. I spent quite a while trying to get them down through the tight insulation with a rigged up coat hanger, but I would recommend you buy some semi-rigid tubing to travel the length of your opening to help with this step of the installation - it will also help in the future should you need to change cables. 2) The connection power cord that travels behind the wall is very stiff, and it comes all coiled up out of the box. The stiffness helps greatly when passing it down through the wall to prevent it from getting snagged or veering off course. However, if your opening is shorter than the total cable length (6 ft), coiling it up behind the wall to get the outlets to fit in properly can be a bit finicky. 3) The exit (bottom) outlet has a bright green LED light when its plugged in (i.e., always on). I guess its to tell you everythings A-OK with the connection, which is good. Just be aware if its in a prominent position in your room, it will be noticeable at all times. This is not really an issue, and tape will solve it, but just something to be aware of. In the end, this is a slick set-up that does what it needs to. Once finished, nobody will know how much difficulty you had in installing it, but being prepared may save you some aggravation in the process.

Greater than one weekWas a quality product, and wish I could have used it. Check to see if you have fire blocks in the wall before you purchase. My wall was already finished, so I didnt want to deal with extra holes that would have needed to be patched. Would have been am easy install otherwise. Nice product and good instructions. Instead I used a cable wall raceway and it worked well. Feel free to ask any questions and if my review was helpful please let me know.

> 3 dayReally nice kit and easy to install. It’s pretty sturdy and works perfectly in my living room. A few installation tips: 1. Use a utility knife for the drywall cuts along the traced line from their template. It’s a little slower than a drywall saw and may take a few passes, but you’ll get a super clean and crisp cut. 2. Feed your cables before attaching the boxes. 3. Feed an extra string, it’ll make things easier if you need to pull something through down the line. 4. Screw the wings in slowly by hand and don’t over tighten. You’ll get a snug fit without breaking it if you take your time and check along the way.

> 3 dayWell designed. Simplifies installation. Quality hardware. If you have an ancient house like mine, with plaster and lath walls, its challenging to cut the standard holes for the boxes. The plaster tends to shatter, especially while cutting through the lath with a conventional saw. Had good results with a reciprocating saw with a square faced blade. This allows you to cut pushing gently in rather than up and down. Worth the trouble to hide the wiring inside the wall. If your wall is full of insulation you will need a fish tape.

> 3 dayUsing this, I was able to self-install a wall-mounted 60 TV and discreetly run the wires inside the wall for a very clean look. I was able to fit 4 very thick, CL3-rated HDMI cables through this (one for each input on the TV so I didnt have to do it again) and it was a little snug but they fit with a little more space for smaller cables too. I wish I had run an ethernet cable too before I put the TV up the first time, but thats not the kits fault!

Greater than one weekNice product and easy to install with the right tools. I have dry wall. I needed to buy a wall fishing wire to install this product since insulation behind my wall kept getting in the way. The wire it comes with is not stiff enough to push through more the a 1 or 2 feet of insulation. I tried for at least 45 minutes to get wires to fish though the wall. I finally broke down and went to my local Lowes and bought a wall fishing wire for $20. Once, I had this i was done in 20 minutes. It really ads the fine finishing touches when mounting a TV on the wall.

> 3 dayVery impressed by the simplicity of this install. With the proper tools, (pencil, level, flathead screwdriver and a handheld jab-saw) this install was completed in 20 minutes. I wish that the item were lower in price, and had kind of conduit to make fishing add-on cables easier, but if you feed A pull tape/cable on the initial install, that won’t be much of a problem for later additions.
