I bought 2 of these to install flat screens in bedrooms that only had one outlet near the floors, but nothing higher for the flat screen. Installation is pretty straight forward, just make the diagram they provide level, use a drywall saw to cut the holes, run the cable behind the wall, connect the two pieces together and your done. Very easy way of having a plug behind the tv, without having to have an electrician come in and do it for you. I have two more that I will be buying for my kids rooms. Ive hung many TVs but this is my first time using this system. This is a great solution as long as you have a piece of furniture to cover the extension cord that goes from the outlet to the newly installed inlet. If you have something to cover the extension cord, this removes the need to open the wall and run your electrical through the studs. If you are hanging the TV directly above the outlet and you have the technical ability to install an outlet, there is not a need for this product. Save the $75 and buy a 96 cent outlet. But in the proper situation, this product is a lifesaver.

Really excellent product. Only issue was my innattention to how deep it is. Once I had measured everything out and measured again and started cutting I discovered that this was actually about 1.75 deeper than the space between the Sheetrock and lathe in my wall. Judicious application of spade bit drill took care of that, although I came about .25 from punching clean through into my stairwell (seeing light coming through was alarming). But it looks great and by that I mean I cant see it or my cabling at all. I have one HDMI cable running through it. The power cable is very stiff and theres way too much of it for what I needed but if you fight with it you can get it all stuffed into the wall.

So, the install went fine. I had to remove the larger unit to deal with a chord issue. I lossened the screw and it doesnt have a stop... so it loosened enough that the clip just fell off back into the wall. Now what do I do? The top clip also bends pretty easy, so it doesnt hold as well as I would like.

Product is fine unless you need to remove it to add extra cables. When you back up the screw the wing can fall off and be lost in wall forever making it impossible to reinstall.

This is a great kit that couldnt be easier to install. Just use the included guides to cut the holes, run the wires and screw in the outlets to secure. BUT!!! Check for horizontal studs before you cut! I didnt know there was such a thing in interior walls, but apparently they are sometimes required by code for fire breaks. When I tried to drop my wires from top outlet to bottom i ran across the stud and thought I was screwed. Luckily the wall I was installing on backed up to a walk-in closet so I just cut holes in the other side and ran the wires down the wall of the closet. Not the most elegant solution since the wires are running down the wall in my closet, but they are pretty hidden by clothes. so be sure to check for those horizontal studs.

Love this Dual Outlet Recessed In-Wall connector. I had bought this after reading some great reviews and i wasnt disappointed. The quality is really great, well designed, very very easy to put together, clever horizontal spacing mechanism to pull in all the cables without any fuss. They even have a cut out template card which came in handy and a great idea. The Best Buy geek squad folks were highly impressed and after seeing the product, they decided to get an exception to use my product over theirs as part of their install. They also said they will replace their current brand with this one. The dual outlet was necessary for me to plug in my TV and my roku/fire tv stick to power.

Can be improved if they add a cable tunnel feature (basically a big tube that can be cut to connect the top to the bottom to allow more cables to come thru after installation) This tube will also eliminate the concern that bugs can come out of the opening.
