> 3 dayThe compact size, the simplicity, the convenience of charging seven electronic devices simultaneously, the option to turn on only the port that is needed vs have all seven ports drawing energy simultaneously -- all of these qualities make this a useful and appealing tool for contemporary households that have phones, pads, laptops that often require charging at the same time. The unit comes w/an adapter for USB-A devices as well.

> 3 dayThis is a compact powered USB hub, each connection has its own power button. The connections are firm and stable, no wobbling of connections. Quite reasonably priced. This is truly one of the best ones I have seen in over 20 years as an IT professional.

> 3 dayOne of the questions on the page in order to write this review was to give it between 1 and 5 stars for charging power. To be honest I have not used it for charging anything, I have only used it for data transfer on my computer. I do have the power adapter plugged in, so I would assume the charging power would be good, but I used the power adapter because I am at times running a hard drive docking station which needs more power than what runs thru the normal cable. Data transfer is good, it is not the weakest link in my chain so it doesnt slow me down any. I wish my computer/motherboard was faster than it is, but without spending hundreds of dollars I am happy with 3.0 speeds. They have come out with USB 3.1 in versions 1 and 2, they also have USB 3.2 in versions 1 and 2. Then you can get into USBC and Thunderbolt connections for potentially faster speeds. Im more than happy with the speed this USB 3.0 gives me.

Greater than one weekUsing this with a half dozen RTL SDRs and its working fantastic. I get great bandwidth for my SDRs over the USB hub and into the PC, zero issues this far. Very satisfied with the performance, form factor and features of this hub. I had tried this setup with a previous USB 3 hub and it just couldnt handle the bandwidth but this one has no problems whatsoever. Its fast and very well made.

Greater than one weekThis is a solid, very fast USB hub that boasts USB-C speeds (I transferred a 1GB file in ~10secs) and has the convenience of having a built in usb-C to usb-A cord. It is powerful enough to charge my ipad (albeit slower than a direct ipad charger as youd expect). Each USB port has its own switch and LED light; the light blinks when data is being accessed which many may find useful to ensure no data is being transferred when unplugging a device; for me the flashing blue light was obnoxious as I had my mouse and keyboards plugged in so were constantly blinking. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone with need of multiple USB ports. Again, the built in usb-c to usb-a 3.0 is super helpful. (note there is no SD card reader, attached photo is for size comparison).

21-04-2025I have had a 7 port powered USB Hub for several years. It works fine, but was missing a feature, is quite large, and was designed to be used in a different orientation than what I need, so I have been looking for another option. One other issue I have with my old hub is the very bright LED lights it has. This hub pretty much solves all of the issues I had with the old one and with another hub I ordered that had a somewhat flimsy shell. First, the hub has an aluminum frame (I think the front and rear are plastic, but the sides are a single piece of aluminum. Second, it has button switches for each port, so you can turn off the ports you are not using. Third, it is much smaller than my old hub, only 5 inches long, about 1 1/2 inches wides, and less than 1 inch thick. Finally it has pipoint LED lights which are illuminated when you have a port energized, but they dont overwhelm you. The hub comes with a 5 Vdc power supply that includes a 48 inch cable and a USB 3.0 Type B to USB C with attached USB A cable that is 42 inches long. The only real issue I have the the hub is that USB 3.0 Type B connector, it would have been better had it been a USB C connector, but it does work. Most devices (printers, scanners, etc.) cant really use anything faster than USB 3.0 speeds (if they are not even more limited,) so this hub will do the job and if you are connecting it to a KVM/USB 3.0 switch like I am, it will work well since the devices that are USB powered remain on when switching between computers. I think this switch is a winner.

> 3 dayUsing this device for about 2 weeks, I have been used all 7 ports occasionally and none have failed. I have seen no slow down, and no overheating. This device seems to be working well with no issues I really love the USB-A to USB-C Adapter that I never have to look for or lose. I have been getting on average 170+ transfer speeds is awesome! Being able to toggle on and off each USB port individually is big positive and knowing that they are on and off (with the light) is great. This charged my Ipad and Laptop simultaneously (though admittedly, not quite as fast as original power supplies). I love this device is very compact and powerful and looks pretty cool with my setup. 7 USB ports is perfect for my setup. I recommend this device for anyone that needs a quality hub with many ports, super fast speeds, Needs USB-A or USB-C, dependable (RSHTECH devices work, I have a few and none have failed yet), are affordable and look great.

> 3 dayThis hub will allow me to connect 7 more USB drives to a computer running Ubuntu Desktop 22.04. Ive connected three to it for now, all NVMes in USB enclosures, running in a software RAID0 configuration. The package comes with a data cable with both USB-C/A, which turned out to be very handy as this computer had already run out of USB-A ports, but still had a USB-C available.

> 3 dayWow! I didnt realize how bad my USB speeds were until I bought this updated hub from RSHTECH. The speed comparisons are below and in the photo. I used the same disk drive for testing using Blackmagic Disk test on my iMac. The photo shows both new and old USB hubs. I like the fact that its smaller with incredibly improved speeds. Each USB port can be individually enabled/disabled. Highly recommend this for a reasonably (low priced) upgrade. A really awesome 7 port USB Hub. NEW USB 3.0 Speeds: Write: 175.7 MB/s Read: 178.6 MB/s OLD USB hub: Write: 39.2 MB/s Read: 39.9 MB/s
