I am extremely satisfied with this cage. It is for a small to medium size bird. I have a pionus and she is not a real active girl so this is perfect for the amount of time she is in it. It is nice as a traveling, sleeping cage or for some outside patio time as she is not harnessed trained. In a crunch, she could live in here for a few days providing I give her enough out of cage time to stretch her wings and play. It is super easy to put together and takes about 1 minute to set up. I have 2 others like this but a different brand. This one is about $10 more than my others but its worth the extra money. It seems the wire is heavier which makes it more sturdy. The bowls are of nicer quality with small safety hooks that help hold them in place. The bottom tray is deeper and heavier plastic with a latch that prevents it from sliding out. It includes a perch but I use only natural or rope perches. It is at a great price point for the quality. Dont look any further. I am pretty particular and would highly recommend this travel cage.

Easy to assemble/ disassemble. Not too heavy and easy to clean. Perfect for traveling and temporary accommodation for my two cockatiels.

Perfect for what we needed. Fits in the car with no problems and am sure my Senegal parrot will love to travel in it.

Perfect travel cages for us to use when our birds go with us on vacation. Stores easily when conpressed down , enough room for them to stretch their wings . Finish is better that some of our custom cages at home.

This is a perfect cage for my greencheek when we go out on the patio for some fresh air and relaxation. Itll also be great for vet trips because its a long drive from where I live. The best part is that he likes it so I dont get eaten alive like I do when I put him in his smaller travel carrier. He happily goes right in! I think it would work well as a sleeping cage, but my little guy sleeps in his regular cage. Im docking one star because the door doesnt stay latched, and even when it does (which is never) theres a large gap. I dont leave him alone when hes in it because itd be too easy for him to get out when were outside or in the car. I made an additional latch from wire, but the gap is still there. And please note that this cage probably isnt safe for any bird smaller than a Greencheek. I think budgies and similar sized birds could get out through the bars, or worse yet, get their head through the bars, and then get stuck. The cage is easy to put together after a small struggle unpacking it, and will be easy to collapse and store away when summers over. Overall, I recommend the cage for travel or getting fresh air, but only for birds who are at least as big as a Greencheek, and only when someone is with him.

I purchased three of these so each of my cockatiels would have their own space for traveling in the car. To my surprise all three birds with distinctively different personalities remained calm in the moving car and more peaceful than in other things we have tried. Two of the cages were simple for one person to set up, the third box had a cage that was jammed together that took some thought and effort to unfold. One of the cup rings was bent because of this which makes it more difficult to change the water, The slip out waste tray is much nicer than any portable cockatiel home I have ever used. The bowls are deep and have lock bubbles to prevent spillage in a moving vehicle when filled below the bubbles and the cages are secured in a upright position. The only negative I see about this travel cage is that you have to open the one large door to refill the food and water during a long trip and a bird may escape and get lost if their wings arent clipped. I would like to see a lightweight travel cage where you could change the food and water without opening the main door. The perches in my packages were nice and not too short. If the door doesnt stay locked to your satisfaction, all you have to do is use a recycled lock ring that comes on most cockatiel toys. I chose this cage over the other choices because it came with things I know my birds like. After a car ride of about an hour we returned home and sat the cages on the kitchen island with the doors open and left for another three hours. When we returned home, all three birds were still in the travel cages. None flew back to their permanent wrought iron 18X18X57 prevue hendryx cages. Our birds will be happy campers now.

The cage is nicely built and easy to set up. My Senegal Parrot loves to be outside with me and this cage is a perfect size to tote her around.

This bird cage will do for now for short road trips between the house the bird lives at and the pet sitter. However, the instructions to put this cage together were poor and I had to get them off the website because the instructions and parts were trapped in the folded cage and could not be reached until the cage was put together. The cage might have been easy to put together except that 2 sides were stuck together in a way that they were not meant to go. It took pliers to get them apart. The door locking mechanism does not really lock. A bounce could easily move the mechanism out of the lock. I will have to tie them together. 9/4/16 Further problems. The included wooden perch is too large and smooth for the parakeet. Also, the perch will not stay attached to the sides of the cage because the perch is just slightly too short. The included steel dishes are nice dishes, but far too large for the cage. 9/10/16 This is a very sturdy cage. The bars are strong. When the cage is opened up it does not come apart. The cage would be very hard to tip over. These are very good things for a road trip. The prior issues do still stand, but can be handled. None of the otherr cages you could travel with were this sturdy or this hard to tip. So I am upping the review to 4 stars.

Once I figured out how to put it together it turned out super. Very sturdy for sure. Directions were rather sketchy but common sense prevailed. The hard part was figuring how to get the tray out with the dishes and perch setting in the tray. Just look at the very end of the cage and pull down on the curved handles at each end and it drops down so that the tray can then be removed. Now remember the dishes and perch are a bit hard to slide out on the tray but a little umph and success. The dish holder is extremely secure and easy to attach to the wires. The stainless steel dishes are very well constructed. Each dish has a marked indentation to set the dish on and it drops and turns to securely lock in place. Thus your bird can not flip each dish.( a terrific design indeed) I am amazed how well built this cage is. Now it is somewhat heavy to carry but what the heck. It is definitely worth this feature. I am getting one each for my Cockatiel Senegal and GCC. They need such a cage as they will be visiting my friend(their aunt as I named her) for 2 weeks. Their home cages are the 5 and 6 foot styles. I hope you like my comments.

...NOT a permanent cage. Even those with small birds (finches, canaries, etc) should be using a larger cage than this one for a main cage, I would hope. This bar spacing would also not be appropriate for tiny birds. I have a Perch and Go travel unit for trips to the Avian Vet with my DYH Amazon, and although that is a little small for her (I have to push her tail down a fraction to close the door), she enjoys it for the hour long trips. However, Im anticipating a move across the country in the near future, so I wanted something that was larger and would allow feeding and watering during extended car travel. This cage has food/water cups, and she is able to climb down easily to the bottom grate. The bottom tray is nice and deep for liners or newspapers, and it locks close so that it will not slide out during the car ride. The cage appears to be sturdy and well made. Easy to assemble (which is fortunate, since the instructions were way down on the bottom of the tray, which you cannot reach until youve assembled it...duh...) Folds down in a compact manner when not in use, with the bowls contained on the bottom securely. I am deducting one star for the following reasons: 1. Made in China. I figure that is the drawback to being reasonably priced. 2. If there was an additional cross bar a little lower in the cage, it would enable more headroom for larger parrots like my Amazon. She is unable to hold her head up completely, but she doesnt seem to mind that too much. She can always go to the bottom if she wants to stretch. I might try to rig a support for the perch in the midway area somehow, or just replace it with a clamp-on regular perch so that I can place it at a better height for her. 3. The wooden perch supplied is a little loose, and it wiggled back and forth while she was balancing on it--I solved this by shoving some soft rope in the ends to stabilize it.
