I am very pleased with the leather hole punch that i recently purchased. I was able to quickly get rid of the 4 older hole punches that i have accumulated over the years of leather crafting. I no longer have the hand strength to use the older ones, however, the new one is easy to use and is wonderful on my hands.

I used it for punching extra holes in my leather belts. It is a thoughtful tool that comes with a measuring scale, an awl to mark a location and remove chads and extra cutting pads. It works and can produce, with care, clear holes. But some simple improvements are needed: 1) a black cutting tube, against a black belt makes centering the cutter harder than necessary. The awl needs a larger handle; the current handle is so thin (small diameter) it can slip, dangerously. The measuring scale is clear plastic: it is hard to see the scales black markings, against a black belt. This review is mostly a safety warning and in the hope the manufacturer address these issues.

After receiving this leather punch, I immediately put it ti use. Much better than the less expensive one I purchased oin the past.
