> 3 dayThis is the fourth system I built. This did not last as long as any of the other ones. I submitted a service ticket on their web site. Lets see what the response will be.

Greater than one weekFinally got around to working on this after the 6 port version i recently got were of no use due to the screw that was supposed to hold the m2 ssd post would not come off the post. To the point I striped the screw top... So... found this 4 port version that I bought months ago. Installed pfsense, and it looks to be ok. The cooling fins feel pretty warm, though. So Im leaving a 4 star for now. Lets see if this holds up with the heat.

15-04-2025This thing is built like a tank! This is my first dip into running pfSense, and the question I could not seem to get a straight answer to is how much throughput is any particular hardware package good for?

> 3 dayIt works, and it works great. Yes, a little pricey, but Ive had no issues with running pfSense on it. My old pfSense overheated and died on me (used hardware that lasted 5+ years), and I bought this to replace it.

> 3 dayMy Protectli Vault FW4B has its mSata screws locktight/glued from the factory. This makes zero sense considering you have to install your own storage. The screws used are very low quality and strip immediately. Buyer be warned.

> 3 dayI’ve installed pfsense and opnsense both. After installation when i change lan ip to 192.168.0.1 it stops working. But default configuration works fine. Also it gets hot you can’t even touch.

> 3 dayThis does what it does well and keeps on doing it with no issues. I was able to download documentation and installation was pretty easy.

Greater than one weekBeen running solid since I set it up as my router. Mounted on the wall with the heat sink slats vertical to give it some nice convection cooling.

> 3 dayInstalled and running pfsense firewall on this device, with no issues. As others have said, it runs warm (average of 48° c), but by adding a small fan, temperature is down to around 33° c.
