Pure Graphite Powder Quart

I used the graphite powder and wax for a finish for sculpture. Worked great.

I originally purchased this to make conductive paint for an electro-plating project. It didnt work too well for this, but Ive since found a host of other uses around the house. It works great for making the rails on keyboard drawers and similar places where theres metal on metal contact. It seems to coat the materials without oil so it doesnt gunk up. Be very careful when using around carpets as its a real pain to clean it up if it gets wet. A vacuum cleaner works if its dry.

The product is good for conductive paint, but when I opened the package, the powder was EVERYWHERE. It was a mess. :/

I like this product because it does what it is made for. What I didnt realize is that it is pure graphite and gets everywhere as soon as I open the container. I guess Im used to the graphite you get in those little tubes. Live and learn!

NO WARNING that this product is under pressure and spread graphite powder over my repair desk, jacket, hands, repair mat and expensive microphone. Ruined repair mat and jacket (gift from my father now passed).

Its ground very fine and makes an excellent lubricant for dry applications.

If you are not used to it nor how to use it, it can be very interesting. Especially when you spill it. Not fun cleaning it up
