Going from the MX Master to this mouse was a lot more natural that I was prepared for. The ergonomics are nearly the same, just with vastly more accuracy. It took me almost no time to get the hang of dailying it, and thats a huge thing for mice companies to nail- because more often than not, going from one mouse to another is like waking up with a new set of teeth in your mouth and trying to talk. Its unnatural and alien to you.

Bought a Razer Basilisk to replace a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer that finally gave up the ghost after more than a decade of faithful service. RIP little buddy. Id return the Razer in a second if my girlfriend hadnt thrown out the box it came in. Its not so much the mouse that sucks, its the software you have to use to get all the advertised features: * In order to customize the mouse DPI, LED colors, button assignments, etc. you must download Razer Synapse (v3.0, mind you). * Synapse requires you to create an online account in order to use it. It also requires that you keep it running in the background at all times. If you ever close it, the mouse reverts back to its default settings. * The license agreement for the Synapse software says Razer and anyone else they choose may take any data they want from your computer without limitation. The license agreement also says Razer has no obligation to provide any updates or even to keep running the Synapse servers to allow you to keep using all the features of the mouse you paid for. If they ever discontinue their service or go out of business, tough. * The default settings cause the mouse to cycle through LED colors (annoying) but worse, it seems to prevent my computer from going to sleep. Even if I manually put it to sleep, the mouse will wake the computer back up, presumably so it can change the LED color some more. Dont leave this mouse connected to a laptop unless its plugged in to an AC adapter, or youll have a dead battery. In summation, Im not about to use a mouse that spies on me. You shouldnt either. It does make a pretty good cat toy, but I bet you can get a *really* good cat toy for $70.

I purchased this Razer Basilisk gaming mouse last April. Works great! Nine months later, the wheel button became insensitive to clicks when zooming in-and-out. I got hold of Razer warranty support. After a few email exchanges, I was instructed to ship the mouse to them. After receiving it, they shipped me a new replacement. Thank you.

Upgraded from a $15 Zelotes Mouse The fit was like the Razer Naga, so moving from there to here takes time to adapt This mouse is for the people who has no preference, as you can switch from being a palm grip to claw grip if needed. Love the middle button resistance, being high resistance for gaming and low for web-surfing Still getting used to the sniper button The school WiFi blocked the download for Razer Synapse 3, so I cant really change anything, so for now, plug & play.

Im not sure I feel the same as everyone who raves about this mouse. I am a fingertip grip PC FPS gamer foremost which came from using a Logitech G500 for so many years to count. Ultimately there is a specific type of form for people who finger tip grip and this mouse definitely has the feel and the finish. I loved the clean design language and the quality of the material. The rubber side molding feels great to hold and the entire mouse has a light weight good quality exterior finish. People say the mouse is heavy for a competitive mouse just over 100 grams at 107-8g but to me honestly; Im a bigger guy who lifts a bit at 511 -220lb with pretty decent medium-large hands with slightly long fingers. So this mouse felt almost too light and too small. When I move the mouse it is with my finger tips attached like a claw like grip but ultimately a lot of grip comes from the palm of my hand resting on the mouse. Ultimately my palm has trouble touching this mouse in my grip and makes it harder to control because the mouse is too small. Moving onto software: Synapse 2.0 didnt recognize this mouse so I couldnt utilize the drivers unit synapse 3.0 came out. While it Works the program is FAR from finished and definitely needs some more polish. Mechanically this mouse has some great clicks. The buttons are very responsive and crisp in a Razer fashion. The mechanical buttons are very tactile in their mechanism and always give a great feed back for a good sounding click, the sensor is very good and I cant even get it to spin out and lose itself when I swipe the mouse across. Definitely has a great sensor as Razers most current mouse. The mouse wheel has a resistance adjust that is cool but, it still feels kinda cheap and lackluster compared to a logitech with infinite scroll. Design (Which is very subjective) to me as a designer I very much appreciated the product design of this mouse. Lines are lining up with certain design elements and the aesthetic is pure and simple sculpture without randomness. Everything is graphically very organized and its currently my favorite LOOKING mouse on the market. I just wished it fit my hand. Ultimately if youre a smaller person who can wield a lighter mouse then this is pretty perfect. I think for me next Ill be onto trying a Logitech g903 or G502 and a Razer Deathadder for a bigger size person.

I had a Logitech MX Master, and compared to that: +adjustable DPI, on the mouse, via a rocker button, thats pretty handy actually +clutch to release that DPI setting, so the mouse goes nice and slow for detailed work - the Logitech has a nice free spinning wheel for fast scrolling up and down a browser page. - Logitech has slightly better ergonomics for my big hand. Overall winner: this Razer Bazilisk.

Great gaming mouse. 10/10 would recommend it. Daily use this mouse for years now and it held the test of time. The lighting is great, and the mouse performs exceptionally.

So for starters, I am not much of a PC gamer. I bought this mouse for the way it looks and the RGB functionality. Also, I really like the button placement. It feels great in my hand. No unnecessary buttons on the side that I accidentally click. I like the cord it comes with (braided but not too thick). The Razer Synapse/Chroma software is not too difficult to use but still confusing (I paired it with my Phillips HUE bridge but had difficulty getting the settings just right. One of my Hue bulbs wouldnt light up at times but Im not sure if it was the softwares fault or mine for not knowing how to use it). I also like the idea of the DPI clutch even though I doubt I will ever use it much. The only problem that really annoys me is that you cannot save Lighting Profiles/Settings to the Mouses internal memory. So I set up the color I wanted and I thought this is the perfect mouse! but shortly after I power cycled my computer it started to do the Rainbow mode on the mouse even though I set it to a static color and even saved the profile to the mouses internal memory. So basically if the Razer software isnt running the mouse is not going to be displaying the RGB pattern you chose. So when I boot up my computer it is stuck in rainbow mode till the software loads. This really annoys me. I thought it was implied that the hardware profiles would store this info so if I migrated my mouse to another system or didnt have the Razer software running the RGBs would behave like I wanted them to. Pros -Beautiful design -Button placement -Nice RGB -Adjustable scroll wheel resistance -Comfortable Cons -Color profiles do not work unless Razer software is running.

(first couple days of using it, the scroll wheel broke but, for fairness it doesnt subtract any stars. Just something to keep in the back of your head) It was the perfect mouse for me I came from a Cyber Power mouse, Not the perfect mouse but still good for what i needed it to do. When I ordered this 3 days ago i fell in love. I got a lot more precise with aiming in games like CS:GO and Rainbow Six Siege, and when you pick it up it doesnt move the cursor so if you pick it up to do another 180 turn, your accuracy doesnt go rotten. And you can pick how hard your mouse scroll is, and on the smoothest setting its very satisfying just scrolling down a web page. On the hardest setting though, you can switch your weapons with out loosing control and slide through your inventory just to land on the same item. So I recommend this for a general use mouse because the dpi clutch can make your clicks very accurate for clicking or cropping photos like in Photo Shop or Paint.net. You can turn off the lights if you dont want to made fun of by your coworkers classmates etc. but, everything is better with rgb so why the hell would you do that? Just turn it on full brightness (which is pretty bright) and block the haters. The synapses software was pretty simple but it is sorta buggy.

Ive been looking to replace my Logitech G9X for several years as it began to show its age. The problem? Finding another mouse that worked for larger hands with a side grip/hand rest on it and my preferred button configuration. After years of searching and almost being resigned to paying way too much for another G9X on eBay, I found this mouse and decided to give it a try. After using it for several weeks for both gaming (ARPG, 4X strategy, RTS) and work use, I finally have a replacement for my 11 year old G9X. If youre looking for a replacement and you dont like the Logitech G502 (which I didnt - just didnt work for my hands but still a great mouse) this is my recommended choice. The only missing element is the fact that the Basilisk does not have weight tuning like the G9X did but I find it to be a good mid-range weight and with the crazy-high DPI available on the Basilisk almost a non-issue.
