Update 2/16/19 - My pi no longer boots or shows anything on screen. I suspect there was a power issue since I kept it running for a few weeks and after unplugging the unit to move it, it decided it was done with life. Even after removing it from the NESPi case and attempting to run it stock, nothing happens. I have many other Pis in the house and have never experienced a failure like this before. I had fun putting this together, my Pi 3 B fit nice and snug and the included screws and screwdriver all went in without a hitch. Fan installation was also easy, but Im not really sure how much impact it has on the overall temperature of the case. I cannot feel any air being pumped out under high load, but it hasnt failed me yet and no lightning bolt icons either with the Canakit adapter. Safe shutdown script installation and operation was easy and works as described. A great package!

The funnest case for the Pi if your going to run ES/RetroPi. There is a script to run safe shutdown and reset with this case. Its a must to make the power/reset button work properly. Keep in mind you must use a 2.5A power supply with this case or you will run into low power warnings. Also make sure to install a heat sink on the CPU at the least or you will run into heat issues.

Great kit! The case is a quality build. Very sturdy and great attention to detail. Fan was a little noisy at first, but seems to have settled in now. No complaints!

i submitted a review stating that the fan and heatsinks were not included in package, i was wrong, they had shifted and fallen out when i opened it. theyre so tiny! anyways this product is exactly as advertised. took me longer to find the heatsinks/fan than it did to assemble the case and raspberry pi. awesome product, will buy more :)

Good case, but buyer beware: QC seems to have issues. I had three problems with the first case. The USB hub didn’t work (main issue), one of my power supply cables wouldn’t connect or power on the device (another one did), and the fan was noisy sometimes. This caused me to knock a star off for time spent troubleshooting my new purchase. However, all three issues resolved when I got a replacement case. The replacement is perfect and everything works as expected. I love the look and the functionality. The script to get the power switch to work correctly was easy to download and it works without issue for me. Fan is reasonably quiet and doesn’t whine like the first one did. Pi seems to stay cool according to the temperature readings given when I shut it down after running an emulator. No complaints at all. It’s a pretty sweet case actually and I’m very happy the replacement actually works. I was skeptical I got a defective product the first time as I’ve never encountered that before and everything looked fine by eye. I spent a reasonable amount of time troubleshooting potential hardware or software issues with both the pi and case before giving up. My advice if you are considering this case is to make sure you are doing things correctly first - watch the installation video above, use a proper 5V 2.5+amp power supply, and be cautious with the installation. This is important, I noticed a lot of complaints here seem to be from user error most likely. That said, if you did everything correctly and something is not working, just have them replace it as some cases apparently have issues.

I would give this 5 stars, but I spent an irritating amount of time trying to figure out why the safe-shutdown script wasnt working - turns out there is a on/off switch on the PCB board in the case that needs to be set to on; instructions make no mention of this.

Thanks Amazon!!! The box is all busted on one corner and opened withing the package you lovely folks sent it in and the fan is missing... Thank you for honoring me by not meeting my expectations... Sorry for the 2 stars GeekPi on a great product but place the blame on Mr A to Zed. I have purchased a few of these in the past and your selling / shipping partner wants me to go out of my Saturday way to return it

Got this to replace my old NESPi case after it got taken out in a lightning strike. Love the design improvements. Not having to hunt down the proper fan was a nice touch with the kits. The only thing I don’t care for is the sizing on the case screws. I specifically wanted the screwdriver because I can’t find a P1 screwdriver around the house that fits the holes.

The case looks great, and works great. The included fan is a touch small, but I was able to get it to fit ok with some washers. The smart power down script is a fantastic addition to this case, well worth replacing an older version IMO.

One of the best cases for Raspberry Pi, has a lot of features, ease to install, has all the tools to install it and very friendly for people that is not very tech savvy
