Our favorite Dominion game by far.

Amazing. Renewed my gaming groups love for dominion. Even after playing way too many times. And tiring of many of the cards. The events and other new mechanism breathe new life into the old cards.

Got this for Christmas 2020 -- played about 5 times, now. My husband and I agree that it has a lot of replayability. I might take off 1/2 star (4.5 stars) for the cardboard tokens (rather than metal or plastic), though I realize they have to represent each of up to 6 players, so probably easier to do various colors in cardboard. Playing a lot of Dominion and other board games during Covid quarantine -- we like this one because it has lot of new things going on compared to the base game. Because there is a gentle introduction to the game, you can get your feet wet without being submerged in new mechanics. I found it potentially busier than the other expansions we own (Prosperity, Hinterlands, Guilds/Cornucopia, Seaside, base game), but if youre used to Euro board games, the new elements are easy to understand and the cards/directions are pretty clear on using the tokens, etc. Plus, you dont have to use all of the different elements in one game, so can tone down how much is going on. We have played with the Event cards, but often forget to use, or dont find the two that came up very useful. If you enjoy Dominion, youll enjoy this expansion and it will add plenty of different things to do/keep track of. (Event cards, Cards that can upgrade, tokens to add to kingdom piles or your deck that influence play for one turn or the game, Duration cards that last two turns, etc.)

We live this addition to our base set. The duration cards and events add an extra leve to the game.

We bought this thinking it was the game, fooled me. This is an expansion, do not let the wording fail you. Decent expansion if you already have the game though.

Its hard to figure out how to rate this. The cards are a bit cheaper, but it its not noticeable during play. The cards are also slightly overpowered. This dominion game brings back duration cards that were introduced in seaside. Well there are two duration cards that last the whole game! One gives you an extra card every turn and the other makes you immune to all attacks for the rest of the game plus it gives you an extra action for every action card you play. So, when you play the latter card the amount of actions you can play in a turn is no longer limited. The game goes very fast when combined with Prosperity. Adventures also introduces three new types of cards. I wouldnt say its geared towards anything really. Still recommend purchasing, but it can be a little chaotic at some times. Would not recommend this as a first expansion for someone.
