Rio Grande Games Dominion Dark Ages Expansion, Brown

Dark Ages is by far the best expansion for Dominion. However, Dark Ages REALLY expects you to have a strong understanding of the game. A lot of the strategy behind Dark Ages involves trashing or other abilities that are more difficult for first time players to grasp. For a fan of the game, this is a MUST. If you want to get your hands dirty, try out The Big Box first.

Love this product overall, it’s one of the best expansions in the series.

Its a great expansion, I received it quickly, and undamaged. I love what this expansion brings to the series, but there are definitely other expansions I would recommend buying first. Such as Prosperity, Seaside, Hinterlands, or Guilds.

The Dominion game and the expansions are amazing! They are great card playing that lasts from 40-60 minutes depending on number of players. This expansion was just as a good as the others and the cards are durable and well constructed. The game playing within the cards is also quite interesting. Definitely recommend for the Dominion fan. I would say to get this after getting other expansion packs, though, such as prosperity.

Challenging expansion for Dominion

This is a great expansion which completely alters the manner in which the game is played. A fantastic upgrade for those who are getting a little too comfortable with the original or other expansion packs!

Loving this expansion to Dominion which is our most recent family favourite - what is great about Dark Ages is it doesnt just add a new set of cards as some of the other expansions but some new game dynamics - a set of Knights where each card has a slightly different power [but runs the risk of being vanquished by another knight] and a big pile of ruins which you can clutter up your opponents hand with if theyre not careful. Rats is a card we still need to figure out as weve all been too scared to take it because of how it runs the risk of cluttering up your own hand but we figure there must be something were missing.

The game got to myself before the actual shipping time. The cards were okay but it seemed the plastic of the box was slightly ripped and the paper to figure out which card goes where was slightly ripped. Everything else was fine.

Dominion is one of my favorite games to play. This was a great expansion to add to our main game.

Dominion is already a great game, but the uniqueness this expansion introduces is unparalleled. It is a very complicated expansion and definitely provides a lot of bang for your buck. Its big theme is around trashing cards which leads to some great synergies with other cards.
