> 3 dayFor starters, this is a gorgeous keyboard - from the RGB, key fonts and symbols, frame etc. However, the typing experience is horrible Understandably mechanical switches are clicky to various degrees depending on the switch, but this keyboard gives bottoming out a whole new meaning. Not to mention the plastic clack on the return of the Cherry reds. If you like the feel and sound of two pieces of plastic pounding together this keyboard fits the bill. And although the unconventional design layout for the keys looks great, I just could not get used to it and was making too many typing errors. On the other hand, I also have an Alienware 510K with the Cherry low profile reds and love it. I threw on a set of clear 40A O-rings to soften the already subtle bottom-out clack even more and the typing experience and sound is awesome.

> 3 dayTLDR; This IS the TKL keyboard youre looking for. Went to Best Buy to get a hands-on (pun intended) experience and was sold. Previously had the Keychron K3v2 and there was something about the horizontal spacing of the keys that caused me to make a lot of typing errors. Ive found I do not need a wrist rest but adding one would likely enhance the typing experience as well. The switches are just loud enough to give good feedback but not loud enough to be annoying. The Swarm software is a little slow but thats just a first-world problem, certainly not a make-or-break type of issue. It has a good weight to it and hasnt slipped around at all, definitely feels like a good quality product for the price.

Greater than one weekThe build quality is great, there is no wobble of the keys, and the typing experience is solid. The issues I have with it are the lack of compatibility of the Swarm software that is required to take advantage of many of this keyboards features. If you dont have a Windows computer you are limited to what functions are pre built into the keyboard and the 3 (yes 3) onboard lighting effects. For the record these effects are gradient on (some orange color gradient,) rainbow flow right, and rainbow flow left. For a keyboard that has awesome clear switch housings, the limited number of on board RGB lighting effects is unforgivable.

> 3 dayKeyboard is loud, lights up without having to run a program, small enough for my hands, only negative thing is there no customization for it. Or at least i haven’t figured it out yet.

31-03-2025Unless you are thinking about switching out your keyboard every time you want to do anything OTHER than gaming, dont buy this keyboard. The short travel cause too many accidental keystrokes. Actually even during gaming I find myself hitting E when I am trying to reload (R). Fine, perhaps that is just me and my typing habits arent conducive to a perfect user experience when it comes to this keyboard. Here is the other problem I ran into. One of my keys (;) randomly (or I just have never noticed) became sticky. No i have not spilled anything on it or had food on it nor did I touch the keyboard with dirty hands. I could not figure out how to clean it besides taking it all apart. Now this was where this keyboard really pissed me off. (or the a-hole of a design team, rather) They put a screw underneath the rubber feet. I suppose they were not planning for this keyboard to be user serviceable or cleanable. So, I opened the damn thing up and found some residue on the back of the PCB (not somewhere I could dirty). I think that was what contributed to the sticky key. By the way, I couldnt find any repair guide online but you CAN remove the clear cap from the back by pushing in the tabs from either side which will allow you to gain access to the spring, rail and the cylinder... Anyways, since this keyboard is my first and last mechanical keyboard, Im going to try to make it last (for the pretty penny Ive paid). Not sure if lubing up a keyboard is something that ALL mechanical keyboard users find themselves doing... Suppose I am learning. Quick Summery: The lighting - boring without having to install the program. Ive never found RGB to be an important part of the computing/gaming experience. Sure as F wasnt about to make it a fashion statement. This keyboard did NOT change my mind. Noise - Well, there are no quiet long-travel keyboards (not to my knowledge. I thought at least with optical switches Id abstain myself from the narcissistic clickery and spare the ears of whoever is on the other end of the voice call. Frankly my computer is also located in my acoustically treated studio. There is just no getting away from the plastic on plastic auditory fckery. Macro - Nah, not flexible enough. HEY rotary encodes are cool but not when they are limited to ONE purpose. Get creative dev team. Cool factor - Besides the occasional reconciliation brought on by my non-computer oriented friends wow you have one of those light up keyboards?! Ive found myself drowning in self loathing for having bought into this idiotic trend of self indulgence. No. This keyboard will not make you cooler. Not if you are honest with yourself. Ergonomic - Coming from a shitty HP low profile keyboard, Ive found myself needing to buy a wrist rest with how high this keyboard forces you to bend your wrist. Dont want carpal tunnel? Get a thinner keyboard. Never had numbness with my HP keyboard until I switched. I regret my purchase but obviously your mileage will very. May luck be in your favour.

> 3 dayI received a keyboard covered in gunk with giant hairballs between the keys directly out of the box. Clearly not a new product like advertised.

> 3 dayI use this for programming and writing. So, the first thing that had to change was the crazy dynamic i.e. distracting lighting. Fortunately that was easy to do but did require downloading some software on Windows. I have it set fort a very eye friendly non distracting Ice Blue. The base is solid but not too heavy. The key stroke is very forgiving, which I like a lot. Programming you need to hit a lot of special keys and I often partially miss or hit at an angle. This keyboard seems to still do the right thing in those cases! It does have a slight ping to the key clicks. Its not super annoying but could bother office mates a bit (Im work from home) A great feature is the solid cable attachment. Its full USB-C, its secure and not coming loose like my last keyboard. The one negative is that they included a very cheap connecting cable that was dead out of the box! I had plenty of good USB C cables around so it wasnt a show stopper but, I nice keyboard like this should come with an equally nice cable! Dropping one star because of that

> 3 dayThis is an amazing gaming keyboard while it lasts. Unfortunately Ive had two of them fail on me, one apparently due to very minor water droplets somehow shorting it out, and another from minor mechanical shock on my desk. Be prepared to buy multiple of them if you intend to use it for any length of time under realistic gaming conditions. PS: Unrelated to above, another gripe is that manufacturers using PWM on LEDs to reduce brightness (such as Roccat/this keyboard) need to start realizing that the flickering caused by this method gives serious headaches to people who are sensitive to that. I can only use the rainbow mode on the slowest movement setting, else it is unbearable to look at.
