Rockford RFK4X 4 AWG Complete Amplifier Install Kit

Back in the day Rockford Fosgate was the cream of the crop! They are now made overseas (China I think) and while their amps are not as quality as the Punch200 days their wires are still really great! If you need a quality amp wiring kit, look no further. It has everything you need and the cables are long enough for most jobs. I would recommend this kit to anyone needing to wire their amplifier. The fuse was too much for my amp so I went out and bought a 50amp Maxi fuse; which you can get at any auto parts store!

High quality wiring kit, all of the ends are in place for the 4ga so it hooked up easy.

Quality wiring for a quality sound system, dont waste your money on the other brand of wiring, its cheap and itll do you no good in the long run. I have two sets of this wiring, (4 AWG, and 8AWG). One is for my subwoofer amplifier, and the other is for my Speaker amplifier. The thing I like about it is that on the back of the package, it says that it is true gauge wiring and it explains how, saying that other brands simply put more rubber coating around the wire to make it seem thicker with the jacket. This is TRUE gauge wiring. BUY IT.

Im an electrical engineer that on some days works with more wire and cable than most people do in their lives. I was an engineer at a wire and cable production facility for several years. We produced wire and cable for the DOD, aerospace industry, military and were contract a production facility to several enterprise grade network cable brands. My brother in law purchased this set when he asked me to help him install a stereo in his car. The good: Highly stranded for high surface area and signal transmission. Soft supple jacket makes it easy to work with. Gauage seems fairly accurate. Comes with 100amp maxifuse and lots of connectivity. The bad: I knew picking up a cable, by the weight, it wasnt pure copper. After doing a scratch and cut test on some strands, theres aluminum in it. Cutting several strands reveals a silver colored core or aluminum. Rubbing it with your fingers and the copper rubs off and reveals aluminum. Scratching the side of a few strands with a knife reveals aluminum. The ground wire was extemely low content copper, and where I would assume they are offseting losses from higher copper content power cable. In all fairness the packaging doesnt state its 100% copper. They just tout a higher copper content than their competitors, due to more strands and a thinner jacket, which makes it close to 4awg. Its a little misleading. The speaker cable is low guage with a thick jacket. Skeptical of it being a 16awg conductor. In all, at this price point, I was doubtful of it being 100% copper 4awg high strand cable. They make no claims on the packaging of it being 100% copper core. Its not as bad as some of the abominations Ive seen from China. However, those saying this is pure copper are incorrect. This is definitely CCA with a higher copper content than some, but still not pure. *As a sidenote, I tried taking pics with my phone of the aluminum showing, similar as to another review I did where someone was passing low guage CCA off as high guage pure, but they didnt turn out well due to size of the strands and a poor cell camera. The stereo has since been installed so Im not able to try again.

Quality is what you want, than quality is what you get right here.

I bought this to wire up an Eclipse amp to go with a new RF P3D4-10 sub. The kit is a nice all in one solution for wiring up an amp.

Came with everything I need to hook up the amp in my golfcart. Only think I did not have were the screws to mount fuse holde.
