I bought a third-party USB to 1/4 Jack for Rocksmith because I didnt want to spend 30 bucks on a realtone cable because I lost mine, and turns out the console will check the name of the cable you plug in, and if it does not match, it will not produce sound. Make the investment and deal with the realtone cable, unless you find a way around it(in which case please let me know)

Connector works on the xbox one and connects to the electric guitar that I have.

The first thing you should know is that you can use a regular guitar cable and a PC interface to play the game, DO THAT! It will save you a lot of money, and save you from the disappointment you will get with the Rocksmith / Ubisoft cable. I bought this way overpriced cable and it died within 30 minutes of play, thats embarrassing even for a video game manufacturer like Ubisoft. I mean.... As a guitarist whos been playing for decades, I can testify that I have cheaper NAME BRAND cables that have lasted me decades,... DECADES! I have Proco, GLS, DAddario, Dunlop, Hosa, Amazon Basics, and Fender cables older than most millennials that still work! There is no excuse that Rocksmith or Ubisoft can come up with to explain this away as a simple mistake or quality control error, uh-uh, Im not buying it.... At 40 bones its totally unacceptable to see people shell out more money on supplys to perform a DIY soldering job to repair a brand new out of the box guitar cable. With that being said I havent made up my mind if Im gonna attempt to repair it myself or return it, seeing that I can just play it in disconnected mode Im leaning hard to return it. No Stars.

After owning a guitar for a little over a year now, I recently decided to clear the dust and finally take a crack at learning to play. I purchased the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable since I needed a guitar to USB cable, and thought why not purchase the one created for the game? This came in the mail a lot quicker than anticipated. However, no cable should ever be $30... Guitar cables typically cost $3-10.

The actual game only runs in my 2015 Macbook, couldnt play it on my gamming one. The cable serves it purpose and works well with the game. (My sugestion, verify the game software works on your computer before buying this.)

There’s not much I can say about this cable. It’s exactly the same as any other. The quality is excellent at a good price. Turns it it wasn’t the old cable that was my problem in the first place. It was my guitar that was crackling and sounding terrible in the first place. So since that cable is years old, that tells me they’re tough, because I’m anything but easy on them. I was thinking about trying a different brand of USB guitar cable but now I know there’s no point in changing when I already have two of the best cables made, lol.
