> 3 dayLoved the idea but realized common sense would work better than using this product. Waste of money. Just compare everything to a golf ball.

> 3 dayMy wife bought this to teach my four-year-old what kind of stuff NOT to give my one year-old. We stuck a couple of things in there like dice or crayon. After a couple of days, it disappeared; but no one seemed to care.

> 3 daySimple tool, might not be necessary for most but it is helpful when in doubt. We used this at a daycare center just to be sure.

Greater than one weekI purchased this to check my 17 month olds Playmobil, Lego Duplo, and Learning Resources play food sets. The item is solid plastic and has brief instructions printed on the side. We tested about 100 different items that day. It held up just fine. As for its accuracy, we havent had any accidents so far, and obviously use this tester with discretion and common sense. It would be better if the tester came with more detailed instructions on identifying choking hazards, like whether longer objects that fit within the diameter of the tube are considered choking hazards. Generally speaking, this is a pretty awesome tool to have around the house with kids under 3.

> 3 dayIt is just a cylinder that you put things into to determine if they are large enough for a baby to play with. Nothing more. No, you dont really need to buy one if you have common sense (or want to use the toilet paper roll method)...but if you have a hubby that dismisses everything as being too child proof these days and he needs specific guidelines (I love this man, but sometimes...!) then THIS is the perfect argument-killer for you! Its easy- does it fit inside? Yes? Then baby can play with it when hes older but not now. Presto- done! Ive seen him check something with it-- so its done its job as far as Im concerned! Hey, in a world where we drop thousands (!!) on baby items, this is the simplest, easiest non-essential to justify having in your junk drawer. Seriously worth the effort of hitting buy!!
