The SSD works great. Comes barebones, just the drive and a small paper booklet, no mounting screws, no usb-to-sata cable, but if you know how to replace a drive, you probably have all this stuff lying around anyway. Just know that youll need at least that cable if you wanna clone your drive. Im sure youve read enough of those before-and-after stories, so Ill just say that its much lighter, quieter, and faster than my old solid state hybrid drive.

No issue! Just make sure when you push it in its slot, that it is totally secure. I didnt do that the first time so I had to re-open the hub because it wouldnt show up. No need to download software of any kind for the Mac mini. Just go to Launchpad ->Other->Disk Utilities and erase it. It will format it. (Also if you intend to use Time Machine on the ssd dont forget to partition the volumes if you want to use the SSD for files other than TM back-ups.

Great capacity but has bad performance anomalies and latencies. And I’m a professional in the storage field. The 4TB models don’t have the same anomalies. I’ve updated the firmware but it didn’t help. I tested these drives on multiple systems to no avail. Others like Tom’s hardware have reported similar issues. Don’t buy this model for anything but light workloads.

Nunca me incomodei com armazenamento da Samsung. Desde HD a SSD, sempre funcionaram perfeitamente.

The Samsung magician software turns this ssd to a beast.

I bought the 4T, probably hold all my photos, etc. for a long time. Downloaded Samsungs Data Migration software - couldnt be simpler !!! After about an hour, my PC turned off, & when I booted it up, my new SSD was up & running with lots of extra space. The old drive was offline, but I could still activate it as a backup - perfect !!!

Easy install right? Got this thing just for 1 game to load quick(Escape from Tarkov) and it does and im happy. After a week the ssd craps out on me, doesnt load my game, and makes my pc read/write slow and boot up slow. After I uninstalled the ssd my pc seems to be back to normal. So After all that I go to refund and then im notified that I missed the return window so ive had a terrible experience with this product, but hey it could just be me.
