Do not purchase this from Amazon. Tablet may be great for the money - but not from Amazon. It arrived with two cracks in the screen while brand new. Two Amazon reps said they could do a partial refund of less than $10 if I sent photos, then a supervisor said they cant do anything other than a return. This is ridiculous, especially when Ive already wasted a screen protector. Can even give me a measly $9.99 back. Insane. Probably a great tablet but get it elsewhere.

Bought (not from Amazon) mostly for games and videos. Was not terribly expensive and worked well enough for the couple of games I played on it. Then Samsung decided they needed to do an update and I had no choice in the mater. Gave me the option to postpone it a couple of times but kept popping up an annoying update screen every so often. Contacted Samsung support to see if there was anyway to prevent the update. I had no need to fix what what working well. They said that once the update started there would be a pause option. Guess what. No such pause option existed and the device update without my consent. Well not sure what all the update was supposed to do but what is did was greatly diminish the gaming experience on it. Is now barely usable for the purpose I bought it. Guess I learned my lesson and will be staying away from Samsung products in the future. Also have a Samsung refrigerator and keep having issues with the ice maker. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me. Samsun, you will not get a third chance.

My galaxy 8 inch S2 battery croaked after 3 years so I had to replace it. This is the best Samsung 8 inch I could find but its much lower screen resolution and camera quality. My S2 took awesome pictures. These are pretty bad. So I transfer pictures from my phone that I need on here. Its a pain. But for the price Im OK with it. Everything else is great with this tablet. And its not ugly at all. (white) :-D

I bought this so my toddler could have an affordable tablet to use her learning apps. It works great for that. It’s simple, has google play store, and it has an actual desktop style screen unlike the kid’s Fire (which is a terrible tablet.) The only frustration is that there is no option to turn off the start up sound. It is very loud and can’t be turned off. Very frustrating flaw.

There is a faster version for around $150. Also it wont let you save space by putting your pics, apps, etc on your memory card.
