This hard drive is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I’ve been thinking of getting a SSD for a year or so and this T7 fit the bill and was on sale. It is very quick to respond when I need to access files which is what I like better than the fast transfer speed because I don’t transfer huge amounts of data very often. Most people really don’t transfer large files regularly unless you are a professional video processor. Overall I’m very happy with the drive and use it every day to store and access files. If you are on the fence just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

Samsung T7 is a SSD external storage device, I tested it with macOS Catalina, Windows 11, and iPadOS 14.7.1 and it showed full compatibility; it has excellent price/performance ratio.

I have an older Samsung 500GB T5 version and have been very happy with it. Both drives have been reliable and zero issues.

I have a number of these drives in use. I started out with the T5 model and migrated to the T7. They work on Linux, MACs, and Windows. I haven’t had one fail yet. Unlike another reviewer, I have never had a heating issue. Using one or two of these on your LAN gives plenty of redundancy to store data.

Its tiny, light, looks great, its fast. What else could you ask for?

I really like how small these solid state drives are. They work faster then the older HDD. I like how I can put just about all my backup data on it. I got the SSD in red. Nice.

Nice storage, easy to set up and use. Looks good, feels good, portable! Password-protected!

Samsung SSDs are great. 1 Terabyte is not a whole lot of hard drive space these days, so do yourself a favor and get yourself a few Terabytes at a time. The speed on these guys is also a nice feature . Very durable as well

Tested and this model was slower than the Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD.
