> 3 dayIts 3.1 gen 1, so its only 500mb/s but it still quite fast due to low latency. I use this as a portable external game library on my PC. Games load and run off of it perfectly.

> 3 dayThe SAMSUNG T5 External SSD supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) which is barely below the SATA III speeds of internal SSDs which means it is blazing fast. Most motherboards support SuperSpeed+ which is normally indicated by the red-colored port (Suggest plugging it in the red port for the fastest speed). Moreover, this SSD supports iPadOS “Files”, so the data can be easily backed up or manually transferred. For low-storage iPhone users, a USB-C to lighting cable can be a solution to plug into the T5 to make a local backup of the iPhone. The default file system of the T5 is exFAT which can be read universally across the different OS. The T5 is useful when backing up long college lectures and precious memories compared to slow prone to failure external HDDs. SAMSUNG included both USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C cables for our convenience. All in all, the T5 is a sleek multipurpose external storage solution.

Greater than one weekComplete disappointment. It stopped being recognized by any computer after only 3 months! No external damage or water damage. Its under warranty for 3 years. I tried to contact both Amazon and Samsung and they were both absolutely useless!
