> 24 hourI was feeling stuck cycling my tank and followed the directions on this product and my tank not only cycled but has remained perfect (no ammonia, nitrites, or nitrates) with weekly 15 -20% water change. I have not had to continue adding this product either. I choose to add it once a month to play it safe

> 24 hourGreat product. I used it to cycle my 30g new tank and I completed the cycling after 3 weeks. I have been testing the water with the API Freshwater kit and both ammonia and nitrite have came down to zero by 3 weeks. I also added plants in the beginning that might also help.

> 24 hourIm fairly new to fish keeping, but I did a ton of research before even purchasing an aquarium. Its widely agreed that fishless cycling is the fastest, safest, most humane way to start a new tank. The general consensus is that with all new materials this will take 4-6 weeks when done properly. I am inpatient person and wanted to get my tank set up as quickly as possible. Without access to seeding material (filter media and/or substrate from a cycled tank) I turned to bacteria additives. Most of these seem to be gimmick products, but Seachem Stability seemed decent. I carefully monitored the entire process using the API Master Test Kit. Using this as an additive to the standard fishless cycling with pure ammonia I have now cycled a 29 gallon tank in a little over two weeks and a 10 gallon in 10 days. I was a little liberal when dosing my aquariums, but other than that I followed the instructions. I am not sure that I would add fish immediately after the initial application as the instructions as suggest. There is a definite delay between the time ammonia starts dropping and nitrites drop, but for the price I think that this product is well worth it.

> 24 hourStability is a must-have for an aquarium! Works very well, and is a necessity. I always use it to give a boost after cleaning filter or substrate, and of course, when setting up a new aquarium because it makes it possible to add fish immediately...just keep an eye on the ammonia and add more Stability (after a partial water change) if there is still ammonia. Be sure to have some sort of a matrix in your filter that gives home to lots of aerobic bacteria (like SeaChems Matrix filter media). I have had aquariums for thirty years, and I have learned to trust SeaChem for all my aquarium needs because SeaChem offers top quality throughout their entire line of products fresh and salt water.
