> 24 hourI use this to mirror my backup folder on my Mac. Works well and performs fast and silently. Well made. Great look n feel. Easy plug and play. No regrets with this hard drive.

> 24 hourI have used this Backup Plus Ultra Touch for 6 months, now it doesnt work. First issue is that the Seagate plug that goes directly into the drive is loose and barely stays in. Bad hardware isssue. Heaven forbid you move the thing, it comes right out. Now the drive isnt recognised by my computer at all. Im fairly tech savvy with my Macbook Pro and I set it up 6 months ago so I know what to do, nothing works. I called Seagate. Was on-hold for 27 mins and just as someone picked up, the call disconnected. Their text with an agent option on their website is actually a robot tree that sends you trouble shooting articles. Maybe they think of their robot as an agent, I sure dont. I have used Seagate products for a very long time, Im disappointed and wont buy again. Yes, I am once again on hold...

> 24 hourMost drives have you charge an exorbitant sum of money for stuff like extra hardware protection, better storage space, and faster uploading speeds, but heres the deal: if you dont need to be constantly on the go at all times, this drive is more than satisfactory for storing and saving files. Im a video editor and I primarily use this drive to keep all my projects when Im not editing any of them, so it sits right next to my computer. I havent had any problems so far in a year of using it- very satisfying!

> 24 hourIm happy with its performance. My measurements: R 133MB/s, W 132MB/s. It works well with my MacBook Pro (I had to reformat it, so I can use it as Time Machine backup). And I like the design, too.

> 24 hourIve only had it a couple weeks. Found it very hard to get started and finally got it working and my data backed up via a Mirror file - had to move all my docs to a Mirror file on my PC (a Mac Pro). Then it somehow got locked and my password, which I meticulously saved, does not work - cannot access my data nor does it back up any more - says folder missing. I read on one of the reviews to do a factory reset which I will try. I do not want to return the product since it does have my data on it. I cant access it but fear someone else could. Update- I plugged it into a different USB port on my laptop and it works fine again.

> 24 hourI dont know why I keep buying Seagate backup external hard disks. Every one Ive bought over the years has been troublesome on my Windows PCs. The hard disks themselves have been flawless but the automatic backup software has routinely failed to automatically back up my data. This one sometimes gives me an error that the volume cannot be found and that it needs to be formatted but then the next time I turn the PC on, it works fine. Every few minutes I get a pop-up message on the screen, sometimes saying the backup has failed, sometimes saying the backup was successful. On the other hand, this one has the ability to add a password to protect the contents of the hard disk, which is a good security feature.

> 24 hourI use this as a portable drive for back and forth between offices for important files. It also acts as a secondary backup drive, which I manage manually. I dont use the backup software on this drive, but I do on other Seagate drives, where it works adequately.

> 24 hourWriting this immediately after taking the box out of the shipping package. You can see how the box looks. Cant tell if it was stepped on before or after it was put in the shipping package. The fit inside the box was tight and would have been even if the side wasnt smashed in. I can see any visual damage. Internal injuries? Will it work? Lets find out...
