You can tell the difference when you dont have the insulation in your trunk. Compared to when you do. Very solid material.

I wanted a sound deadener for underside of riding mower hood, I choose this because it was recommended for under hood higher temps and I wanted something with a black color which I thought would be better than a reflective color as I didnt want to reflect heat back onto the engine. I used denatured alcohol to wipe the areas clean as possible first then used some 12 aluminum foil to make a template, marked the sheets and cut them for some curved edged sections. I slit the backing at the center and peeled and folded back the middle and lined it up with center alignment marks then a small wood roller to press it down and adhere it, peeling more area of the backing in small steps and got it down well that way. Two diagonal cuts in 2 sheets made up better irregular coverage (4) pieces for the sides of the hood. I actually used the 2mm, 4 sheet kit, I bought directly from their site.

Used to deaden the horrible sounding vibrations on a plastic rear deck with lots of nooks and cranies. Worked perfectly, adhesive worked perfectly, could cut easily. Once it cooked in the sun for a couple of hours it got even better!! It does have a light odor that is the nature of the chemicals that make up the item. Nothing that wont dissipate, I am sensitive to smells/fragrance and this was a low odor product once I got around to install it. I had aired it out for several days prior to install. I would recommend building a minimum of two layers for problem areas. I was able to cover my rear deck (buick park ave) about 80%+ covered with 2 layers and have one and one half sheet still left of the 10square foot pack. The black coating on the aluminum layer does not come off easily, I was not able to scratch it off during the install and flatting procedure. Very happy with results and the ability to cut with scissors to quickly install since there was leading edges around all 4 sides to be able to peal off the sheets without ruining part of the panel you are holding trying to pick it off. Product was installed 7-22-17 so if something changes, which I doubt from reviews this stuff just wont release like other sound attenuation material adhesives that fall off in the heat, I will update. The fact it worked better after cooking in the sun speaks that it is pry really stuck on now and I dont expect any failures. The seller was very quick and thorough in their responses. Obviously passionate about their work and product. At this point I would totally recommend this product over more expensive competitors.

box came open from the factory and there was some light damage to these very expensive sheets, however i made do.. if you can afford to, buy the thicker material..

Great product. It cuts easily and sticks well. It does smell for a few weeks, but after a month the odor has gone away.

Got here super quick. Easy to install. and my ride is so comfortable now. Will definitely do this to my other car .

Highlights: - So far I’ve used 2x20sq ft packs to deaden the trunk, trunk lid, and rear deck of my 2017 Honda Civic. I have hardly any bass rattles, and I just ordered another 20 sq ft pack to do the front and rear doors. - The SS Damplifier is easy to apply if heated, so I would just lay out the sheets in the sun a few minutes prior to applying. Also, it’s best to clean the surfaces with alcohol or acetone.

Man I love this stuff. I have some steel sinks in our kitchen and they were soooo loud. If you lightly bumped and dishes in the sinks they would ring like a childs drum set. After applying these to the outside of the sides and bottom the noise changed to a light thud even with plates and pots. The stick on well so make sure that you place them correctly the first time.

The 2012 Malibu build I am working on has a half dozen boxes of second skins product. 12 rolls of sound skin deadening and I have 4 rolls of luxury liner pro to put in. I have close to $2500 in products and countless hours. This picture is of the trunk lid I am working on. Inside the cavity has deadening everywhere I could reach with some luxury liner pro in places. The inner skin will be covered with sound skins. All 3 of these products together really work well in my opinion.
