> 3 dayShark AZ2002 Vertex Powered Lift-Away: I have only had this vacuum for a few weeks and can only give my opinion based on 3 or 4 uses. I have two other vacuums that I am using for my comparison, a Hoover (constant overheating after years of use) and a Dyson (old & heavy). First off, I am a 66 years young man, and do the whole house vacuuming as my wife is not able. The unit was shipped USPS and in the stock box. It arrived in a timely manner but was severely damaged for carless handling by our USPS during shipping. While the box was a mess and I feared for the contents, I only found a couple dents in the main tube of the unit (see pics). However, the vacuum seems to be working fine. The Shark AZ2002 SUCKS… and I mean it has more suction for cleaning than any vacuum I have ever used. The controls are at the handle including the power switch. This is much better when you get used to it, like when using it as a wand having the power switch right there is great. At first, I did not think it did a good job on the carpet, but after changing and finding the best setting it does a fine job of getting the carpet groomed and doghair free. We have a Border Collie mix and a somewhat shorter haired mixed breed. As advertised, I have had NO dog hair at all wrapped around either roller (perfect). Couple things could be better… the “Large Dust Cup” is too small, especially if you have dogs. But the performance outweighs this inconvenience. The vacuum air powered “Pet Power Brush” is a joke. Stops spinning as soon as it encounters any surface (totally useless). I guess I will have to buy the electrically powered brush…maybe. This cost you a star. The position of the front roller lets you get really close to things and is appreciated. On our tiled areas this unit gets all the grit and doghair up and gone… even from the sides. The exhaust from the motor is in the front. I thought this was odd but after using it on the tiled areas, I realized that because the whole unit tips back when in use, the exhaust is out of the way, and I no longer have to chase doghair around the tiled areas like the other vacuums. On carpet, you have to get used to it wanting to run away forward and drag resistance pulling it back. But you get used to it and can really see the carpet is clean and groomed well on the drag-back stroke of your cleaning. The AZ2002 is not cheap, but I have to say, overall, it is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever been forced to use…LOL (pun at my wife). Highly recommended.

> 3 dayOk, this thing is absolutely OUTSTANDING. We vacuumed the whole house with our Dyson dc33. Now granted, that one is 10 years old already, but their claim of never loses suction is just false. It HAS to lose it. Within the last few months, we replaced the hose, brush roller, filters and belts. After doing the whole house, we did it AGAIN with the new shark. It filled the canister-TWICE! Suction is amazing. Different modes for different floor types of a flick of a switch on the handle, so super easy to switch between floor types. Easy to push, turns great, doesnt weigh much, the lift away makes steps SUPER easy, and the roller does not hold hair! We have 2 huskys in the house, so long hair is INSANE. And we still have nothing wound around the brush head. Really the only complaint is the cord is like, stupid short. Only reason for 4 stars. I have a central outlet that let me do my whole house with my Dyson. Now I need to switch outlets 3 or 4 times to do my house. Kind of annoying, but nothing an extension cord cant fix. Either way, I couldnt recommend this vaccum enough!

> 3 dayI rarely write reviews, but I am so impressed with this vacuum that it has to be done! I have two Australian Shepherd pups and two children under the age of 10. My house always has dirt tracked in and all other sorts of messes are constantly being made. I have a brand new carpet, and hardwood floors and this vacuum does it all! After going through two cheap vacuums in the last year, I decided to splurge on this Shark. I compared and read reviews on several different brands and models before deciding on this one and I can honestly say that I couldn’t be happier! A few of my favorite things about this vacuum and comments to the pictures I included. The first picture I posted shows a small area of my room that I vacuumed. As you can see the amount of dog hair and dust that it collected was mind blowing! In addition, there’s an extra trap that caught a necklace my son made without damaging or getting caught in the rollers. I finished vacuuming my room, and found no hair had attached to the rollers. This is a huge deal for me (and a big reason I splurged on this vacuum) because I despised cleaning and cutting hair out of the rollers every time with previous vacuums. With the power lift option and powered hand attachment, I was able to clean my carpeted stairs with ease. It has incredible suction and devoured the dog hair and crumbs embedded deep within my couches. It’s absolutely magical and has made cleaning house so much easier. No dust, debris, or odors using this vacuum. You will not be disappointed!

Greater than one weekThis is my second Shark Vertex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins. My other is still working. However, there was a great deal on this one, and I decided to buy just in case. I first want to mention that I have had to call a few times in the last 5 years about my original vacuum, and shark came through every time! They are easy to contact. They offer on the spot video technical support and then if they need to send out replacement parts, they are delivered within a week. Secondly, I own a Newfoundland dog and if you know anything about the breed, you will understand that a clean freak will be vacuuming every single day! Their hair is super long and it is NO JOKE you will have hair like you could never believe hair. This is the only vacuum that does the job! Ive tried cheaper brands, but poor Hudson Douglas kills them or they just cant even do it! Great vacuum! Great warranty program! Totally worth the price! Only neg on my review is the pet attachment! I dont like it, and it definitely needs improvements. My original one is fantastic but this one I dont think does a good job with hair... I think they tried to save money when they designed the pet attachment!

> 3 dayThis is a great vacuum! I was so surprised at the amount of pet fur and dirt it picked up the first time I used it. I would recommend this vacuum.

> 3 dayThis is the best vacuum for our situation. We have two golden retrievers and the hair is unreal. We also have a long shag area rug… this vacuum WORKS! I am astounded at the amount of hair it picks up every time I vacuum. Love all the features as well!

> 3 dayThis is Shark’s top of the line vacuum. It lives up to it’s reputation, but looses a star for it’s weight and noise. The good: - Powerful. Dyson is often cited as the king of powerful vacuums. But I’ve used Dysons and this is easily on par with those. - Great pick up. This is the most important part of any vacuum and this does a GREAT job. This picked up things my old vacuum missed. I thought the floor was cleaned but wow, I guess it wasn’t. - LED Lights. These are very handy for seeing dirt in dark corners and under furniture - Lift-away. This is something Shark’s done for a few years now. The ability to detach the bin and use it almost like a consider vacuum is very handy if you want to reach under furniture, for doing stairs, and reaching high places. - The rubber rollers really don’t tangle - Easy to empty bin. It pops off easily, you push a button to open it, then it snaps closed without issue. Easy and clean. - Filters are easy to access and clean. - Comes with a crevice tool and upholstery tool, and the accessory websites sells one for every task you could need it for. Some reviews say there aren’t any, but it looks like that has been fixed. Shark now carries everything at least as of right now. - Odor reducer. This is a nice addition, though replacements are a bit pricey. If you have pets it can help reduce that pet smell vacuums tend to get. You can also use the vacuum just fine without one. - Long cord. Why this isn’t standard with vacuums I’ll never know, but this cord is long enough to be able to do most average sized rooms without having to swap outlets The bad: - Loud. Coming from an older shark, this is noticeably louder. Which is a shame, I guess a trade off for the power, but Dyson manages to have power without this noise. - Weight. This thing is a beast. I am in decent shape and it still can get tiring. The lift-away feature is hampered by the fact that it’s so heavy too. All in all you won’t be disappointed with this vacuum. No vacuum is perfect, some might fix another flaws, but it’ll have new ones of it’s own. The pros for this outweigh the cons in my opinion. The price is on the upper end, but worth it.

Greater than one weekWhat a difference this vacuum has made. In the past I would have to dust every day, dust so thick you could write your name in it and this happened even when vacuuming every day. This vacuum fixed the problem. I love it!! It is so easy to switch from bare floor to rug cleaning. The rug cleaning works great also. Vacuum is a little heavy but it is a great trade off for the suction. The only thing I do not like is the hair wrapping around the small rubber tires in the front of the vacuum. I have a constantly shedding border collie and cat and hair is everywhere. When I vacuum the hair winds around the small rubber wheel axles. I have to clean it out by using tweezers. I hope the future models of Shark have an easier way to clean this wheels.

> 3 dayI’ve owned or used all the major brands over the years and have even owned two Kirby brand vacuums. This is so much better. Easier to empty than a Dyson. Better for hardwood floors than any other, it doesn’t kick out bits to the side or leave anything behind like my Dyson stick did. Better for carpet/rugs because unlike many vacuums you have a bleed valve that allows for pile height or backing. The ease of use and multiple ways to configure means I can actually vacuum my hardwood stairs, get underneath the beds, and in corners without stoping and starting. I love the mini rotating tool, it gets the pet hair and doesn’t clog. This vacuum can do it all. I may get another for upstairs just so I don’t have to carry it up and down, although it isn’t a problem because it isn’t too heavy (throwing shade at you Kirby)

> 3 dayGot my wide this for a birthday gift ( she wanted it) first time she used it the sweeper vacuumed up so deep in the carpet it stood the fibers straight up. Couldnt believe the super fine partials it brought up that our other vacuum didnt touch. Nice length on cord , easy to assemble, easy to clean ...great so far.
