Ive only owned this for a day, so Ill update this review later if I need to. I did HOURS of research in my hunt for a good vacuum that could helps us manage my husbands asthma and severe allergy to dust mites. From what Ive learned, people with allergies and asthma need vacuums with (1) a certified HEPA filter (which ensures *clean* air gets circulated out of the vacuum, rather than air full of old dust particles) and (2) a super strong suction that can pick up lots of hair, dead skins cells, and all the microscopic dust mite bodies and poop (which is what triggers dust mite allergies). Vacuums with these features can be incredibly pricey, so while I was absolutely willing to pay more, I was hoping to find something that wouldnt break the bank, if possible. Throughout my research, this vacuum came up over and over again as highly rated for allergy and asthma control and seemed to be one of the more budget-friendly options. So far, this vacuum has absolutely delivered on the features I was looking for. First, as far as I can tell, the HEPA filter is working miracles. Prior to buying this vacuum, my husband would have a horrible asthma attack every single time we vacuumed. This is the first time in a long time that hes been able to vacuum HIMSELF (or even be in the house while I vacuumed) without struggling to breath afterwards. He didnt even sneeze once afterwards. So, for anyone with allergies, this is a must have! I should note that I did need to empty the canister halfway through vacuuming because the fill-line is fairly low. I believe thats necessary to ensure the filter doesnt get overwhelmed and continues to function properly, so emptying more often is worth it to me. However, if you have allergies and no one can empty the canister for you, I would suggest looking for a vacuum with a larger canister or requires less frequent dumping. Emptying the canister definitely wasnt an ordeal - it took me maybe three minutes - but I could imagine that being challenging if I had severe allergies myself. So do keep that in mind. The second thing of note is that this picked up ALL THE HAIR. Both my husband and I have long hair, and Id honestly just come to believe that finding hair everywhere, no matter how often you vacuumed, was just a fact of life. I was hoping that this vacuum would cut down on the amount of hair left behind in our carpets, but didnt have high expectations for its ability to remove the hair that was deeply enmeshed in our carpet. (We need to get rid of our carpet anyway, but I was looking for something to hold us over until we have time to replace the flooring.) But guys, this vacuum got rid of it ALL. I rand my hands across our carpet after vacuuming, trying to pick up or feel if any hair was left, and I kid you not there was NOT ONE HAIR left behind. I could have cried. Do be aware that you will need to cut the hair off the bottom of the vacuum afterward to ensure that the bristle feature doesnt get clogged. However, that was incredibly quick and easy to do and made no mess at all. I think this is a universal truth of vacuums, but if you hate this thought, perhaps look for a vacuum that doesnt roll up the hair on its brush. I will say that UNLIKE vacuums Ive had in the past, which had lots of debris, fluff, and gunk all mixed in with the hair at the bottom, there was ONLY hair at the bottom of this vacuum (the suction is that good), which made it a really easy, mess-free cleanup. So long as it holds up well, I will be singing this vacuums praises to EVERYONE.

I need to address the reviews that state this is impossible to push or pull. The only way this is true is if you are using this on an area rug and are going against the grain. You know, the decorative, short pile 5x8s you get at biglots that are rolled up and the pile tends to lay more in one direction... If you stand in the opposite direction, you will see what I am talking about and it will no longer be an issue. So, to those people, either flip the rug or move yourself. Wall to wall carpet, wool area rugs (loop or pile) are no problems with this vac. Great for solid surface flooring and stairs too. You can turn of the beater brush and use suction only for hard surface flooring. The vac is not too heavy so it works well on stairs. Small doorway mats and/or runners, the kind with latex that you can throw in the washer, with a small loop pile (berber like) CAN be vacuumed with this too IF you turn the suction down on the handle. There is a cover that just rotates to lessen the suction so it does not suck the rugs up too. I have yet to come across something that this vac cant handle or adjust to.

I bought this vacuum when my last vacuum died and Ive been using it now for a few months. It has its pros and cons. Pros: *The suction power is amazing. I feel like Im on one of those informercials where they create a clean path through the dirt to show you how well it works. I am very happy about its cleaning power. *I thought the attachments wouldnt work very well due to their design and what I read on other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised how well they actually work on sofas and fabric covered things. They even stay on the attachment holder, unless I hit it the wrong way. Thats about all I have for the pros. Cons: *This vacuum is SMALL. Its only 11 inches wide! Youre making many, many paths across your floors. I almost think it would be better suited for a motor home or RV. *The dust bin is also small. I have a yellow lab and while I admit I dont vacuum as often as I should, when I do, Im emptying the bin 3-4 times. The bin is also hard to empty. I like that both the top and the bottom of the bin open to try and make it easier, but the way its designed, dog hair gets piled up behind the inner plastic tube and Im pushing and pulling clumps of hair from both ends to try to get it out. *The cord is long, which is great, but it comes out of the bottom of the unit, practically on the floor. Every time you have to pick it up, move it, or go to wind it up, youre bending down to the floor. I tried to feed it through the top handle to make it easier to grab, but that makes it awkward to remove the hose for the attachments. I have a bad back, and bending over time and again does not make it happy. *The vacuum stops working when you sit it upright, which is pretty typical, but it snaps into the upright position way too easily. I cant vacuum one step without out it locking into its upright position, which turns off the roller and suction. I have to push the front of the vacuum down over and over, which requires me to either use my knee and balance on one leg while on stairs, or bend over again and again. As I mentioned before, this is not pleasant with a sore back. *I cant use this vacuum on my throw rugs or area rugs. I have a 6 foot runner in my master bathroom and an oriental carpet in my family room that need to be vacuumed. I used to be able to step on one end and vacuum away from me without any problem, but it doesnt matter if I turn on the brush wheel or not, the vacuum just gets stuck on the rugs and I cant move it. I gave up and just took them outside to shake. Bottom line, the vacuum has great suction power. Probably the best suction of any vacuum Ive ever owned, but all the other things make me a bit disappointed in the purchase. I just spent 20 minutes vacuuming and my back is killing me. I hope this is helpful for someone out there.

I do like this product for variable, like I can take part off and carry portable as need to be like vacuum on the stair and inside of my bed/water bed (I tried to clean so no bed bug there), but little issues is that try to get all part connect to get power smoothly is little difficult and brush roller is at first difficult to get rolling while vacuum, so there is kind of control on handle hose turn, to make brush roller working properly but its get good job, and very powerful suck it up. Only downside, is no headlight as few vacuum design had those, great when vacuum in dark area where light cant reach under stuff or hiding or stair in basement and taking part off and back in as need, make me wonder if it strong or weak design in long term. but I had those for first day and glad its variable and powerful vacuum, but design is question when take all part together and do normal vacuum to get that brush roller working. Its good yet I dont know how good it endurance is and petty much its cost lot to me, depend on who and how much person earning income. But I had no choice due bed bug bite, my other cheap vacuum isnt good so I brought it for fighting war on bed bug bite in long terms (I know heat stuff, but its simple too much money and not work as bed bug hide in wall that keep them safe from heat, and fleeing once room got hot, possible risk damage or melt my stuff (if I remove it, what point, I want to make sure everything bed bug touch got destroyed but they are very sneaking and small, to next room and I cant afford money like that so I am hopeful MGK 1852 Crossfire Concentrate will get all those bed bug get destroyed. I think its worse than tick and mosquito, its easier to combat tick and mosquito like eating raw gartic, but may not work on bed bug and where my skin got itchy for almost week now where mosquito and tick is less than a couple hours. Thank you for reading my review post, Im appreciated it.

Nice and lightweight, love it overall, only thing is the attachments are kind of loose, so sometimes when I’m vacuuming they fall off their stands. Not the end of the world just kind of annoying.

The suction was great and for most that would be an advantage, but I need something that will glide easier.

I love that its probably cleaning deeply. It sucks so hard and doesnt have power steering. Its extremely hard to maneuver even on short pile carpet. I will probably return because of how hard it is to use.

This brand of vacuum cleaner has always been a favorite of mine. Back when I had a dog, it was an essential during sheading season. It stood up to pet hair and like it says it doesnt loose suction.

This is a first impression review based on features and a first use to vacuum my whole house. Pros: The suction is absolutely amazing. It almost sticks to the floor when vacuuming a low height area rug. The swivel feature is great for reaching under furniture. Its lightweight but still very powerful.[[ The detach feature and the arm are convenient and lightweight. Cons: The upholstery attachment doesnt have a hard attachment to the suction arm. It just sort of wiggles into place but because the suction of the vacuum is so good, the upholstery attachment pops off easily. I had to hold it into place with my free hand as I was vacuuming my couch. That was rather disappointing since vacuuming my couch was a big reason why I bought this vacuum. It accomplishes that goal but is not as easy as I would have hoped. Maybe in time I will figure out a way to do it easier? No other cons, really...

This Vacuum has good suction and is easy to move around. The main disappointment is with the attachments. I dont like how they are stored on the vacuum... They get in the way and fall off. You also only get two, they feel relatively poor quality, and there isnt a brush attachment. Ill probably store them in a closet.
